Well done redbacks, tougher game next tho against the Mumbai Indians, they have a few good players in their team. Sachin Tendulkar, Dwayne Bravo, Jean-Paul Duminy, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Lasith Malinga and Redback Kieron Pollard.

A win against Mumbai tomorrow night would see us through to the next stage, always great to win the first game in a small group stage comp. Go the 'backs!

West End Redbacks middle order weapon Callum Ferguson said his team’s first up win against the Highveld Lions was icing on the cake in his return to competitive cricket.

Ferguson has made a successful return from a knee reconstruction with the 25-year-old happy be a part the 11-run win.

“I’d be lying if I didn’t say it didn’t cross my mind at some stage,” Ferguson said.

“Once you get out there everything else falls into the background and you really do concentrate on competing.”

Ferguson joined skipper Michael Klinger for a 97-run partnership that proved to be the catalyst for the Redbacks first win in the Airtel Champions League Twenty20 tournament on Sunday.

The Redbacks have now turned their focus onto tonight’s match against Indian Premier League giants, the Mumbai Indians and Ferguson said his team is “supremely confident” heading into battle against a side that boasts superstars of Sachin Tendulkar and Kieron Pollard.

“It’s going to be a real challenge for us,” Ferguson said.

“They’re a fantastic side no doubt about it, so we’ll have to be right near our best to be competitive and hopefully get over the line,” Ferguson said.

The Redbacks match against Mumbai will be telecast on ONE HD at 1.15am (Adelaide time).

LOL sorry didnt realise it was live :lol: wasnt live the other night, game started about 9pm adelaide time but wasnt on tv until after the formula one at like 11:15

I think they play two games a day, the first one starts at 9pm our time and the second one starts around 1am our time. I'd suggest the reason One/Ten decided to show the cricket match on delay was because the Formula 1 stuff gets good ratings for them.
