possibly kicked backwards as Norwood have the best defence and when looking to go forward is only seeing norwood jumpers. our forwards probably didnt work hard enough to present themselves
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

I really enjoyed the way Norwood played and look forward to seeing how we match up with them this week.

Tackling is one of the skills of the game. Chipping around and going backwards is not!
We used to be good :-(

REB

yeah lost in 1995 to port by 2 points

Remember it clearly.

Tim Cook scored the greatest goal I have ever seen at Football Park, which put us 2 points down with a minute or so to go. Was yet another heartbreaking moment for Centrals fans in that era!

What game was it when Ben Kinnear i think no.57 snapped a goal from the boundary to put us within a kick of pretty sure it was port and then a dubious holding the ball decision didnt go our way in the forward line and we lost..

Brian, I'm stand to be corrected but I reckon you could be thinking of the 97 prelim against Norwood and the player was Ben Walton.
Did Ben Kinnear even played a league game before he headed to the 'Pies?

Yeah, it was Ben Walton in the 97 Prelim I reakon...

And no, pretty sure Ben Kinnear never played league football for the Dogs before being drafted to Collingwood.

Noticed a few interested on-lookers at Doggies training down at AAMI Stadium last night...

Tony Bamford was there observing training and taking notes while a couple of Norwood officials were there recording parts of the Dogs training and taking plenty of notes.

Agree the game will be a ripper, but you should know by now that NO team ever lines up game day exactly how they are named during the week.

I know mate, I was just fueling the **** stiring that seems to be the norm here! ;)

All jokes aside, this game should be a ripper, are one of the sides finally due to blow the other one away though? All recent games have been so close, is one team due to smash the other by 5 goals or more? Who knows. Time will tell!
