Surely he would at least play 'B' grade out there, i think a couple more of your boys might go back there and have a crack at Division 1.

Trent would definatly play B grade at EP and wouldnt surprise if he got a few A grade games as he will only get better and Dusty likes giving the younger lads a go and most have held their spots when given the chance.

c grade pfft your kidding arent u if my boy wants to have a crack at playing div 1 footy at my old stomping ground well good on him i will support him 100% i have loved playing with him and coaching him in last couple of seasons and its been hard on him trust me, do i think his good enough bloody oath and credit to the kid for wanting to have a crack. anyway enough about that.good luck to both teams this wk but go the eagles hope ya get the job done.

Thought the philosophy at EPFC was to play the kids in the B's, and the older ones/less committed played in the C's. This would mean that the lowest Trent will play is B grade, but he would easily be good enough to play there anyways. As LM said look at Deidrichson (sp), Mozza Freeman and Sam Biggs, they all have played A's and had very good success. No reason Trent couldn't do the same. He is only 17 anyways, will keep growing, developing and will be a very good footballer.

Fantastic appointment from the Club. A great football brain and Thomas would be lucky to have him as his Assistant

Word mentioned to me was Mitchell out at Fitzroy was heading out to Two Wells either approached or applied. Any truth to this. Punk Rooster would know more i would suggest but its just something i heard. Was G.Phillips that was out there this year or was that Virginia?

Any other news on Coaches for Div 3. There has been a few posts in the SAAFL newsletter and so on for some Div 3 spots?
Mitchell and Fitzroy have parted ways since the end of the season.

Phillips was at Virginia this year, but aparantly Two Wells are looking for a new coach, so the Mitchell rumour may be more of a fit.

Has Mitchell ever coached or played in the country before.

Mitchell played a season with United in about 93 or 94. Was always getting into scraps both on and off the field. He has definately been around a bit and if I were Two Wells I would be very careful if they are indeed talking to him. Not the sort of coach they would be looking for I wouldn't have thought.

Couldn't of said it better. IF Two Wells are looking at him do a background research on his performances at Maccelsfield and Encounter Bay. That might sway their decision or for that matter any club looking at him. At best a Div 6 Coach.

I heard from someone he was meant to be a non-playing coach this year, but picked himself and kicked a couple of bags early and just kept playing.

I must admit 2nd leading goal scorer in the comp, at his age, is a pretty good effort!

Matt Jolly has been appointed A Grade Coach of the Modbury Football Club. He will be a fantastic coach and make the Hawks very tough to beat in 2011. Matt has the respect of all players at MFC for what he has given the club and no doubt will get the best out of them.

If he's half as good a coach as he is a player, it'll be a very good appointment.

Is he playing as well FS?

Thats the plan Pag. He has already set out a program and training schedule that he thinks will get the best out of the lads. He will also make the tough calls which is what the teams needs. The bloke has been in the SANFL system and is highly professional oh and he 'absolutely detests' loosing doesnt matter if its table tennis or on the footy field.

Yeah he is going to play and have a few assistants on the sidelines helping out.
