No Robertson or Rule in the 2nd.

That win was huge by the first starter, 3-4 wide the whole way.

This is playing into Yendall's hands me thinks.
Maloney on 4 is the leader though and should storm home in Races 7, 8, 9.

McIntosh and Paget with good rides to come, both should finish on at least 6 points, but is that enough?

Rule 2pts on a $8 chance, not the best result.

Seems like we are not the only ones not to rate Kat the Hack:

Katsidis defends Shoot Out rides
.by TVN Racing on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 1:06pm.

Stathi Katsidis
Stathi Katsidis has come out fighting against critics of his recent rides on AJC Australian Derby winner Shoot Out.

Katsidis was severely criticised after being caught four wide on Shoot Out when he finished third to So You Think in the Group Two Memsie Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield last month.

Trainer John Wallace was one of the critics of the Memsie Stakes ride but defended Katsidis after Shoot Out finished third to Whobegotyou in the Group Two Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Katsidis has been criticised for keeping Shoot Out in the "no-go" section on the inside at the Valley.

"Everyone is entitled to their opinion but anyone who thinks the horse isn't going good will be eating their words," Katsidis said.

"His next start is in the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington in three weeks and I think he's almost unbeatable.

"I thought his run on Saturday was awesome.

"I could have gone three wide on him at the 800 metres but he was going too hard and I didn't want to make an 800-metre run on him so I stayed on the fence.

"The inside section was the worst part of the track but by the time we got to the turn I had no option but to stay where I was."

Wallace refused to criticise Katsidis after Saturday's Moonee Valley defeat.

"I'm not critical of his ride on Saturday. He just got caught in the worst section of the track," Wallace said.

Katsidis will ride in Sydney on Saturday when he will partner Queenslander Captain Sonador in the Group Two Shannon Stakes (1500m) and Levi's Choice in the Group Three Gloaming Stakes (1800m) at Rosehill.

Captain Sonador scored a stunning first-up victory over 1200 metres under Chris Munce at Eagle Farm on September 4.

It was the four-year-old entire's first appearance since he underwent knee surgery following his Rosehill Guineas failure in March.
