Went down yesterday and saw some of the game, well done to WC on their win. Of what I saw, Stubberfield was all over his opponent and kicked some good goals. He's certainly a crowd favourite and loves kicking a goal. His goal celebrations were good aswell.

Pedo and Birchy played well aswell, there two younger guys that WC would love to retain as they move up to Div 5 next year. Both move well with the footy, have some good skills and have good goal sense.

The crowd was good aswell, heaps of WC supporters there.

Good to see Stormy out there yesterday and getting best for Locks. I played 16s and 18s against him and rate him very highly. It's nice to see he's has stayed at Locks, IMO he could easily be playing a higher grade.

I feel like I barely watched the game yesterday, if I wasn't talking to people at the game I was on my bloody phone sending and receiving updates! Manage to sneak in a feed from the Westies BBQ though, top notch grub there. Well done to West Croydon - took ten minutes to get a feel for match conditions and then wound up to blow Lockleys out of the water.

doesn't help that their full forward (Mickan) has been crook in bed all week

Couldnt have just got beaten on the day? No mention of him being crook til now when the game has gone.

demonseye, this isn't an excuse it's a fact, and i really could not care less who even won the game yesterday...just thought id share that on here...

mickan may have just been beaten, but just thought some people may be interested as he was the leading goal kicker.

to think that another seasonis over.well done to the dees on promotion.now the work load increases again.good and well deserved win by the hawks.played to the same disciplines and structures that they used all year.have not changed their style or work ethic for the whole year.the win one could say was the result like others have quoted on certain players playing well and others not but suprised to not hear one word on the coaching effort on matty mcpherson.his team has been well structured and drilled all year and he has at not one stage strayed from his goal or the game plan that was going to get that goal.always does his home work and not scared to ask others for advice or another opion.the sign of a good coach.now the step up wont be easy but as heccies have shown if you have the right attitude and work ethic with the right club culture anything is possible.also on another note i didnt really see anything that 23 did was over the top or dirty but i was on the wrong side of the ground for a long time but as i said didnt see much
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one

He and the rest of the Lockleys lads did not look so tidy this evening at the Lockleys Pub. Good on all the lads having a bit of fun and well behaved. They were heading to Glenelg when speaking with them. Were devestated but well behaved with was great to see.

West Croydon were always going to win the div 6 premiership. Strong team.
Predictable result in the end.
It will be interesting to see how Lockleys go in div 5.

Overall it's not that bad apart from the occasional scuffle and there are leagues with a far worse problem of thuggery (Port Lincoln, SFL)

Your joking mate?? APFL is not even close to div 5 or div 6. having played both and currently APFL. APFL is faster and more skill fill then div 6 and div 5. If you havent played in the leagues dont make the comparison.

ive played at yorke peninsula and lockleys, lockleys a grade and west croydons would both be ok in the ypfl definately wouldnt be on the bottom of the ladder, would get pumped by the top two side in the ypfl though, hard to compare different styles of football

its a very hard exercise to do when it comes to comparing leagues. the only way to do it would be play each other during the season, something that will never happen. when it topic comes up i think its best left alone imo

How did Flemming go at west croydon. Left salisbury mid year after got dropped for not showing up to games. Seems to be a common thing for him. Good player when his head is in the game. Guess he made the right choice now being a premireship player.

added to an already good forward set up..as the 3rd tall forward he made things difficult..didnt see much of him in the GF..

can any WC lads tell me how coops is..saw him with his arm in a sling and its his drinking arm..hope he didnt drink to much..would be a struggle getting the strides down with one arm..or was angela there? :)

i went out and had a look at the Div 6 grand final as i knew a few blokes in each team, and to be honest the standard was better than i expected, W/C were by far the better side on the day and deserved the win, no 11 for west croydon pretty small on baller was BOG for mine cutting up Locks with his leg speed, number 1 i think his name was francis was nothing short of sensation on carl, wore him like a golve all day and i think his intensity at the contest was to much for carl to handle, peddo and birchy can obviously play a higher level of footy if they put there heads to it Peddos foot skills and poise was second to none in this grade,
noticed the big full forward for W/C giving a few of his team mates big mouth fulls even when the game was won in the last quarter, im a big fan of celebrating a good goal but a few times i think he might have taken them a touch to far and thought it was all about himself rather than than his 21 mates doing it together, thats just an outsiders point of view he might just be one of those blokes and people love him for it but looked a touch selfish to me.
well done to the croyden lads

Modesty is not one of Stubby's strong points and doesn't win himself any fans with his 'exuberance', but he'd be the first to tell you he's not out to win fans, he's out to win games. He played a ripper game though, simply unstoppable.
