That's the beauty of the amateur league. Some people sayyou lose all the rivalries, but I think it allows to to have more. We were disappointed when we went down from D3 and couldn't keep playing Para Hills, but then we got to play Salisbury West and Pooraka, and next year we lose them and Elizabeth come along. Looking forward to those battles.

Good luck to Pooraka and GG tomorrow, I'll be under the verandah giving everyone stick, with an oocasional shift behind the bar/BBQ. Hope your two clubs pack Salisbury Oval out.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Well done the mighty Pooraka Bulls! Particularly the B grade to come from the elimination final. Should be a force in div 3. Congratulations to players, coaches and all involved.

PFC were fantastic in both grades. If ya get to the GF you may as well have a go. Id say say GG were content in being promoted. Or were the BULLS far too good. Well done Wattsie and the rest of the staff down there. Fantastic to see so many juniors taste success. Enjoy boys.

Excellent execution of finals football displayed by the Kookaburras and Bulls.
I meet a couple of blokes at the canteen today while getting a hot dog with sauce. After a few beers, these blokes kept referring to their mate as the impact coach. Apparently he carries a reputation as a leading senior coach and has previously won a D4 premiership and D4 medal. The impact coach said he wished he could offer the GG coach some assistance. On departing I eventually found out his nickname was SJ. Maybe SJ could help mentor GG into a premiership.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

What can I say, it's lucky Centrebet weren't taking odds because everytime I put money I something I end up losing. Murphy's Law I guess. Well done to Para who is an unassuming bloke off the field. Well done to the Bulls as well.

Absolutely outplayed yesterday in every aspect of the game. No doubt about it. I'm not going to get on here and make excuses and claims of bad umpiring etc like a few others have. Pooraka were just way too good and fully deserved both wins. Plain and simple. First to the ball, ran hard, peppered the goals and were ruthless and hard. Everything we didn't do and weren't yesterday.

Well done to them and I'm sure they enjoyed themselves last night.

All we can do is prepare for next year in Div 3, build on what we have and continue to try lift the bar and improve.
