9th of October mate the season starts, the draw will come out probably a week and a half before that, there are still clubs weighing up their numbers. There could still be some clubs folding  .

Thanks for that. I must say considering that is around 2 weeks away, it amazes me that clubs can still have so much uncertainty about numbers etc so close to the season. If you nominate one team less and have players fighting for positions surely better than entering the extra team hoping and half the season struggling?

Easy to say mate, local cricket lacks player commitment, you have to realize that there's a lot involved at footy clubs aswell, some players like to have a break in between seasons etc. We get bitten on the arse most years as far as having more than eleven players missing out in rounds 2 to 5 but then quite often struggle around Christmas and just after. Having said that, we haven't forfeited a game for 10 years in any grade.

Seems R&C season is beginning to unravel before its begun. Michael Feltus is suffering from Lateral Epicondylitis and may require surgery on his elbow and will be unable to bowl this season, combined with the McCarthy drama yet to be resolved suddenly the bowling is looking greatly weaker...

I wouldnt imagine so, still sponsored by the pub and built a short but proud history as R&CCC so i would assume they would maintain the same name etc.
