I'll betcha you'll all be the first ones squealing if he does get targeted because of it

He can't lay charges on everyone 8)

Ur unbelievable FC... I really cant believe your attitude towards this just because ur close to people at the Lodge. The bloke was punched in the back of the head and knocked out by a spectator after a game and you want to have a smart arse crack at him for pressing charges? What he shouldn't press charges? Come on FC say what you think instead of beating around the bush about it. Put ur bias towards Brahma aside and have a think about it.

Don't presume you know my attitude to anything Booze - I try and stay as switzerland as I can when it comes to any club and I've always had to do this because of my media commitments. I have no bias towards the Brahma side- yes, I've got some mates there but the guy who did this isn't one of them. What happened at the end of the game, both with you, Ryan and the other incident was a culmination of some of the Brahma boys sooking because they fell short again and the way they've gone about it is probably indicative of the way it's done at "the old club" I'm the last person to condone king hits - and you should know that after what happened in our 2005 grand final against Salisbury West. However, considering in that game there was a broken cheekbone, 2 split heads a broken jaw and 4 concussions - no one went squealing to the cops.

However, i was given information (albeit 2nd hand) that his jaw was broken., so I wouldn't blame him for pressing charges if that was the case and it was off field. BUT if he still is suiting up this week with a broken jaw then he can't bitch if someone has a crack on field (a-la Reiwoldt). If he doesn't have a broken jaw then all the above is irrelevant.

That's what I'm saying. Cant make it any clearer than that.

So no, I'm not plotting against you or Swits or anyone else at Elizabeth.

I don't think the lads from Hectorville would hit anyone from behind when they weren't looking, let alone after a match has finished. Don't think anyone in that team is as pathetic and cowardly as a few other players/supporters from some other teams in the comp. So broken jaw or not, I don't think we need to worry. BTW, I hope the supporter in question gets what he deserves. Next time he should grow some balls and look the bloke in the eye before throwing one

"squealing to the cops" it's comments like that which are indicative of ur attitude towards switta pressing charges that I'm talking about.

It's just suggesting that there is a problem with reporting a dog act assault to the police....

Nothing wrong with it at all Booze - get off your high horse. However I'm also a big believer in what happens ON the field, stays ON the field.

so if you bothered to read my last post in full, I said if it happened off field then I don't blame him.

regarless if some1 breaks your jaw or not from a king hit doesnt mean you cant press charges against some1 its still assult. and has more of a case considering the attacker came from off the field and had no involvment in the match

Did you miss that bit hounds? ;)

I was refering more to the bit where u said "if he's jaw wasnt broken then the above is irrelvent" ;)

It was the 2nd incidence of that kind at various grounds on the weekend, do the SAAFL need to enforce a "noone on the oval rule"

It would be very hard to police and would spoil what grassroots footy is all about. The dickhead minority just need to be dealt with harshly.

Simple.

Exactly, deal with this 'trained fighter' who entered the ground and king hit an exhausted footballer from behind endangering his life. That gutless coward deserves everything he's got coming to him. Spectators should be let on the ground, to celebrate or have a kick & a catch.. but belted blokes in the head.. thats where the police should be involved.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Registers player so can be dealt with as such by the amateur league.

What was done by this player/spectator is totally unacceptable and no one at Brahma Lodge will tell you any different. It really puts a sour taste in alot of peoples mouths (mine included) especially the people who put in a lot of hard work around the club to make sure we can field three sides each week for a season to have someone do something like this and put a massive dampner on what was already a bad day for the club after loosing two finals.

Heccies in this one just a matter of by how far. Elizabeth were lucky to catch Brahma last week when the weather was at it's worst and got the better of the day's conditions in the 1st qtr.
