Duncs, did the eagles venture down to kilburn at all this week to get a feel for the ground, or did you boys just train at home? Noticed from previous posts that heccies had a look earlier this week and it is a common theme with grand final sides to have a look at the ground (we did it back in 2008).

Personally think that the ground wont favour either team as both are adaptable to any dimensions. I think that it will be a belter of a match, as both games between these 2 have been close, ill be heading down to have a look and am hoping the rain holds out so we get a great day of football

On that note im going with heccies by 16 pts, and the eagles to knock the dogs off in the magoo's by 23 pts

I recall playing a GF at Kilburn, we had a saturday morning training session on our week off there, I got swooped and attacked by a monster sized magpie as I left, few more divits on the scone.

I'm told tragically that a former South Gawler footballer was dropped last night down at Argana after only one game back in the a's and after working his way back after long term injury. Can you confirm this duncs?

Reasons like this id hate to be a coach come Thursday night before grand final day. But at the end of the day he gets to play in a GF team, he will be great on the wing in the Twos. Me thinks he will absolutly carve Plympton up.

Can you tell me who it was? I am a barossa league follower but have been overseas for most of the season and don't know about any injurys. I can only think of one player that comes from south that wouldn't be good enough for a's but if injury has something to do with this decision, well then I can understand. And your right duncs who would want to be a coach when you have dash blokes of there dreams.

I think you'll find most of thier squad were pups out there. I think they have just matured and come of age. They were a fit well drilled side with no passengers when I seen them, they have several good quality players and they move the ball extremely well to their strong-marking forwards.

Agreed Heccies are a very good all round unit. A good defence that runs off really well and makes their opponents fight hard to get to the ball. A very skillful, strong midfield with a good bunch of outside runners and a forward line with a good combination of talls and smalls. Certainly don't have any passengers.

Ur unbelievable FC... I really cant believe your attitude towards this just because ur close to people at the Lodge. The bloke was punched in the back of the head and knocked out by a spectator after a game and you want to have a smart arse crack at him for pressing charges? What he shouldn't press charges? Come on FC say what you think instead of beating around the bush about it. Put ur bias towards Brahma aside and have a think about it.

Sevens' Scott Evans was the unlucky guy. Hogan missed out too. A B grade premiership will lessen the blow im sure :)
Shaun Lay came back in.
Just wanna say Im very happy for my man G-Mac Garry McNamara to be playin in an A grade GF. Pound for pound he is the hardest toughest player in the league! He lacks that piece of his brain that allows him to feel fear!
He was there when i was playin As in 2004 when we dug deep after being 1-8 halfway through season, to come good and save Elizabeth from relegation to Div 7. I remember he burnt me off to kick the winning goal against Hope Valley to save us and see them relegated. He deserves it

Don't presume you know my attitude to anything Booze - I try and stay as switzerland as I can when it comes to any club and I've always had to do this because of my media commitments. I have no bias towards the Brahma side- yes, I've got some mates there but the guy who did this isn't one of them. What happened at the end of the game, both with you, Ryan and the other incident was a culmination of some of the Brahma boys sooking because they fell short again and the way they've gone about it is probably indicative of the way it's done at "the old club" I'm the last person to condone king hits - and you should know that after what happened in our 2005 grand final against Salisbury West. However, considering in that game there was a broken cheekbone, 2 split heads a broken jaw and 4 concussions - no one went squealing to the cops.

However, i was given information (albeit 2nd hand) that his jaw was broken., so I wouldn't blame him for pressing charges if that was the case and it was off field. BUT if he still is suiting up this week with a broken jaw then he can't bitch if someone has a crack on field (a-la Reiwoldt). If he doesn't have a broken jaw then all the above is irrelevant.

That's what I'm saying. Cant make it any clearer than that.

So no, I'm not plotting against you or Swits or anyone else at Elizabeth.

regarless if some1 breaks your jaw or not from a king hit doesnt mean you cant press charges against some1 its still assult. and has more of a case considering the attacker came from off the field and had no involvment in the match
