Magpies if you are from fitzroy i believe you guys wanted the spare day so if we got heated out over two weekend's you could still get a game in. If we change to Sat/Sun finals this could not happen.

Having Sat/Sun finals doesnt allow for a spare day, but it does shorten the finishing of the season so surely there would be no issue with finishing a game the following Sat?

PG good to see you posting sober. I am not sure this makes anymore sense though. You are saying we should play less cricket over the year. If we start playing Sat/Sun finals true we could play the following week. But for the 5% chance we get heated out is it worth all grades missing out on 2 weeks of cricket during the year

I meant instead of the finals series being dragged out over 4 weeks, the finals series would be over in two weeks, Thus finishing the season 2 weeks earlier

And where do you come up with your 5% guesstimation!? Your last comment makes about as much sense as a diabetic sniffing sugar

Sorry Phantom the 5% was a guess how many times have we had to use the spare day since the rule came in. But you point of finishing 2 weeks early could not happen if you allow for a spare day for the semifinal and Grand final.

Well surely you would play it by ear, surely you would plan a season expecting to have no delays come finals but if it happened that way then just push the following match back another week?

The issue has nothing to do with finishing the season earlier, the issue is people prefer Sat/Sun finals and the assoc should be looking to accomodate the CLUBS needs and wishes, since after all they are the reason you have a comp..

Well perhaps if that's the issue, stop clouding it by crapping on about something completely different. :p

I find it interesting that you assume that the majority of the feedback given by the club delegates backed a Sat/Sun finals format, when in reality you don't know jack. It would be a shame to cloud your "issue" with facts.

I also find it partially amusing about how vocal & critical you are about the C&CCA Exec regarding issues outside your own comp that have no bearing whatsoever on your good self.

Sure, speculate and dribble away to your heart's content, but when what you're saying is utter garbage and unsupported by fact, don't be surpised or get upset when you get flamed. :D ;) Now that is what a forum is all about!
