Who said Campbelltown was any good? I live down the road and given it looks a lot better than it did 2 weeks ago, it will only take the ressies game to undo that good work.

But hey, we've had like 40mm of rain in the last 2 weeks, wherever you play you'll have no choice but to get your shorts dirty.

Sorry ;)

Alot of better conditioned grounds around than Richmond i give you the tip.
Richmond has always been a shocker when theirs alot of rain.
I'd say Campbelltown would be better.

PAOC in a canter. The wet conditions is the only thing keeping anyone in the contest. Sure anyone can win on a given day, but an injustice if the best side does not win, especially when nobody has got close all year when they have had their best side in and not experimenting with structures. The best 2 Teams by a mile but also thought that Portland would win on Saturday with their ability to run the Football. The older guys at Old ignatians will not stand up for 120 minutes, although their experience will count. White, Atkinson, Whiteman, Tomich, Pedler and Co, have all played good League football, but their best days are well behind them. Old Ignatians midfield are the key, if their is going to be an upset as Frinsdorf, Connelly, O'Loughlin, Reynolds, Janetzki, Pedler on occasion and a variety of others will determine whether they can match the 2-3 minute rotations of the PAOC midfield. The PAOC midfield playing 6 in there all rotating from the centre to the forward lines to the interchange etc, etc, will keep the Old Iggies Coaching staff busy boys. Try keeping up with all the rotations and you deserve to be on Mick Malthouse's Coaching staff. PAOC by 5 goals and the only thing making it closer is the wet conditions. The best side on the year will win easily

I believe this is the first time Old Iggies have made Div 2 for a long time. An excellent effort considering they have floated between 4-8 for the past decade or so. Credit must be paid to LeMire as well as the football department for their recruits. It shows to other Div 3 clubs that a handful of 'quality' recruits combined with a fresh approach can help breed success.

Credit also to PAOC, three seasons ago, I thought the club was shot but they have rebuilt well and back into Div 2 where they belong.

You have recruited too well teaoby for that. Old Ignatians have done extremely well and not taken anything from them at all BUT their recruits are all +30 years of age where your guys will all blend in over the next few years, being much, much younger. Have no doubts PAOC will see Division 1 in 2 years time although Old Ignatians will have to recruit futher with younger guys to go with the older more experienced guys

a very early prediction, and what ever happens this weekend happens and with the weather shaping as it is at the moment - the best team on the day will win and that may not be the best team all year, but i can see PAOC having a very short stay in div 2, i would expect to see them in div 1 in 2012 a rapid climb it would be, but hard workers, a few handy sponsors and the type of player that you can always attract when current and potential continued success is a factor should see them in the top flight in a years time in my opinion. best of luck to both teams on the weekend iggies by a point in the wet conditions

Iggies were awsome on the weekend, played good hard tough wet weather footy, us lads had a crack all day but wernt up to it.
after watching Iggies on the weekend in the wet i would suggest that if its raining heavily on saturday, they are a huge show to knock off PAOC.
whilst saying that those older boys may struggle to get themselves right after a taxing game on the weekend.
if silly saturdayand sad sunday wernt bad enough here we go for mad monday, wish me luck

Firstly congratulations to both PAOC and Old Iggies in gaining promotion to div 2 for 2011.

On saturdays game, Old iggies, like others have said were just to good, they used there big bodies and experience, was a credit to them how well they played in the conditions.
If the weather is like it was saturday then Old Iggies are definately a chance to beat PAOC!
Was rather embarrassed with the boys efforts in the last quarter on saturday, we had lost the game and there was a scuffle. Not the right way to go about it IMO.
Apart from that, they never gave up and condisdering where we were in round 7 this year, its a true testiment to the boys to turn it around and finish the season in 3rd place!

On a complete side note, Seen Devries down our neck of the wood saturday night. Never met him or spoke to him before sat night and he was a good lad. Also, how ******* big is he!!! I knew he was tall but he was a monster in person!

The only embarrassing part of that scuffle was the cheap shot delivered by a bloke who ran a fair distance to get himself involved. He was duly red carded, so I'm sure that will be dealt with by the tribunal. Apart from that, I thought it was just a bit of push and shove, and couldn't even see what caused the other red card to be shown. Perhaps the timing of it wasn't great, being 10 goals down at that stage.

Was very impressed with the Portland coaches after the game. It must be very difficult to front in the opposition changerooms after a prelim final loss like that, but they both spoke very well. Classy act IMO.

Fisty is banned from every pub down the port so he had to work. As for his Sex Life i have heard he has done very well. Birds down the port like a athletic shortman with a babies arm holding an apple
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
