Shouldnt be any excuses by the Lions with their playing list though.
Was it the loss the Lions needed to have? Or is it simply that, come finals time, a champion team will beat a team of champions. Ok, well I'll put "chapmions" in quotes.
Looking forward to the Lions' big clash with Kersbrook this weekend and Im hoping the Lions' mid north connection of Young, Stanbridge, Mazzone etc can lift and get the Lions into another GF.

so conflicted to find myself barracking for kersbrook again this weekend... go brookers.

Would love to see TV bundled out in straight sets, but would that then mean they have to stick around in the country league next year?

I am pretty sure TV go up to central regardless of where they finish unless the rules have changed recently. I don't think birdwood made the grand final the year they went up.

nathan mcdowell and ben gunning win mail medal on 28 votes each, both from torrens valley.

Andrew williams wins B grade.

Fair effort for 28 votes each from one club!

Anyone know what is happening with Callington Eagles/United Eagles or whatever they are now? There is nothing I can see in the Courier. Will there be any juniors at all as I think the locals are over the seniors.

Torren$$$$ Valley by 6-7 goals against Brookers at Callington. Terrible weather, but still an excellent playing surface under the circumstances. Huge crowd, great footy, well umpired.

Absolutely horrible day to watch footy....outside anyway :D So fair play any neutrals who went or those who stuck it out all day. 6-7 goals is a pretty big margin in the conditions so have TV got their mojo back ?? Youd think if conditions were similar to this next week theyll get the job done.

I've seen many a final at Callington 'redsox' and given the conditions, the HFL would have been more than pleased. It's a big ground and was filled to capacity with cars. Let's face it; only really intrepid supporters would have risen to the occasion today, so you have to measure numbers against those odds. I thought it was a great atmosphere and reflected what country footy is all about.

Does the Kersbrook B grade making the GF have any effect on the decision? Isnt it pretty much between Maccy and Kersbrook? Seeing as Maccy have no teams in and their oval is in better condition I would have thought it would be there!
