does anyone wanna have another crack at a team of the year, since we have the association votes now I reckon there would be a few changes?!
Hosies team will be out in 2 weeks aswell so will be good to see how close some blokes get!

Why would the Association votes have anything to do with how it is picked? Would suggest that that it had nothing to do with it or at least hope not

Im guessing hosie and his band of writers would have looked at it, whether they agree with it or not.
Names people may not have thought might come to mind since the team is out.

Who would be coach of the year?

In previous years always the Premiership Coach, which is fair I guess. Some might deserve it but the Premiership Coach is the one every other Coach wants to be

Coach of the year would be fought out between Bomber Clifford and Scott Hodges.
Clifford did the unexpected and got kilburn a win!!!!
Hodges also did the unexpected and got Seaton to 9 wins. Massive effort considering the umps were against them as well as the league.
Surely these 2 are slightly ahead of the PAC coach.

Got to be between Rocky Buterworth and Andy Lipson for me.
One has got a team that was only promoted and got them promoted again.
the other has taken over a side at the half way mark of the season sitting second to bottom and got them to finish in top 3 and the oppurtunity to be playing in a grand final next week if they win this week!
Both huge efforts IMO
get on board the thunder train!!!

Just came past the oval you lads will be on tomorrow
A little dam has formed in NE side of oval and that pool of water in the NW pocket last time you guys played is now a lake.
Should be a hard scrap and I will be there
Good luck to both of you

=)) =)) =)) Oh that cracks me up, you are so so funny!

This weeks game i'm leaning towards Portland knocking off Old Iggies for the first time this year.
Alot more bigger boys in the Iggs side that will struggle in the conditions, i see the Thunder as a very good team especially at ground level which is where the balls going to be won saturday.
PAOC will enjoy watching these two sides slog it out.

  White played very well. So did Brodie. Portland trying to play dry weather, fancy football in shocking conditions. Totally outplayed, all Iggies bigmen played well which suprised in such terrible conditions.

We were totally out-classed, out-skilled, out-smarted and out-played by a very good team in Iggies today. We were never in the game. Atkinson must have danced a jig when he saw the weather forecast - his hands and strong body were sensational, especially early. White very good up forward, as were most of Iggies players all over the ground. We tried to play dry weather footy, too many handballs and switching play just doesnt work in todays conditions. Our guys had a crack and never gave in, but fell well, well short. Bament best for Portland by a long way.

They are a big chance next week, they have some very good and experienced footballers.

I thought that massive shelter-type thingy that Iggies had erected was going to blow away - how strong was that bloody wind at times ??? Part of me was hoping it would blow away - straight onto the field, so the game had to be cancelled ! ;)

Great job Igs. Time to book a flight and get over there for the big one.

I thought Portland were a big chance of beating Old Iggies considering the conditions yet the Iggies boys stepped up when needed & now give themselves a huge chance of knocking off PAOC this saturday at ???? in the big one.
Surely the weather conditions saturday will take a fair bit out of the players, it wouldn't surprise me they'll have a freshen up session in the pool tuesday & a normal thursday session, probably at the ground the Grand Final will be played.
No doubt the 2 best teams all year & both deserve their spot.
Good luck.
My tip Old Iggies 11-20 in an upset.
