When I read the scoreline of todays match at Elizabeth, it immediately cast my mind to this score, which occured 32 years and 2 days before today:

Round 22 1978
South 2.3 4.4 5.4 7.8 (50)
Central 1.3 1.4 2.6 3.7 (25)
Elizabeth, 2490

Unsurprisingly, it was the lowest scoring match for that year.

Hooray....we had a win...even if it was only on paper.....and 32 years and 2 days ago.
