What a shambles. So much for Paul Nobe's "junket" to perth to oversee the whole affiar!

Nobes to go along with the coach and by the looks of it most of the "jelly back" players.

What a bunch of pathetic hacks. Look at other sides... Vics chased 360 in 4th innings to win, Tassie have made a solid start against the Bulls... we will struggle to make much more than 100.

Look - I am not happy with the Redbacks and how they are performing. But, I will continue to support them through the bad times as well as the good. What about some constructive criticism mixed in with the jibes?

I think we (the Redbacks) have most of the talent we need. Perhaps though, we have been too quick to replace older experienced types with young ones without giving true regard to the value of experience. Blewett would be my preferred option to replace Lehman in this instance.

Any other thoughts - other than simply canning the team?

i think that we have all contributed some constructive criticism at some stage, obviously some of it hasnt come lately, but there has to be a point where the positives just dry up.........

I too will also continue to support the jellybacks and will attend the matches they play here at home, but its a little hard to really support them when they just dont show any passion or commitment.............

Sometimes canning a team can shame them into proving their "canners" wrong??

To be honest Max I don't follow grade cricket and it's players, nor the behind-the-scenes part of the Redbacks closely enough so no I don't have the answers.

One question, do we have a purely state only Cricket Academy setup?

All out 114. Time for a massive cleanout right from the top and including selectors. There are talented young players there and if the same old crap performances continue we'll be looking at a wasted generation.

What has gone well:

Fast and spin bowling. I don't know whether it is talent or good coaching (most probably a mixture of both), but we have good depth in these areas and have performed well.

What has failed:

Selection and batting. It is time for the head coach, the board and selection panel to take responsibility for continual poor performances. A new direction must be taken.

Rod Marsh has been hired at the SACA and with his proven track record, perhaps it is time for him, along with an independent panel (perhaps with input from Wayne Jackson, Stephen Trigg, John Buchanan, Wayne Clark... etc.) to change the SACA direction. Let's copy what Queensland and WA have been able to set up. Something has to be done and I'm afraid it doesn't appear this current group is gonna do it.

We have talent at our disposal and we need to tap into that the best way we can.
