I reckon SMOSH would want PAOC to win, becuase half their players will need to go back and play C-Grade next week.... ;)

Nah because you would need permits in that situation. And there would be only 1 player that would get one.

Trust me, after this week we will be at this stage watching the B grade have a crack at the flag, hopefully add the A and D grade to that too!

I think it is, was this list specifically for C6 footy or permits in general?

they won by 20 goals that day as well. haha what a joke the SAAFL is for allowing them to play C6 football. that has to be looked into. we had guys in B grade that played the last 8 games of B grade but played 8 A grade in the first half and they got no permits.

If that is true seems ridiculous that this can happen, I am not saying its PAOCs fault if they are playing within the rules then thats the rules, it is just dumb rules! Our B grade had a lad that was overseas until the last 3 games and played all these games and got knocked back on not enought games and three guys can play Div 3 footy and then when their clubs A, B and C grade have the week off in the finals play D grade. Goes against the spirit of the competition and poor form in my opinion.

Clarke seems to have played under his preferred name of Michael maybe?. However just looking into a bit more Gazolla and Whalton did not play one game for the D-Grade from Round 12-18. And all three of them did not play for PAOC in the Qualifying final or Semi Final. What happened to the "not enough games in second half of season" rule?

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

How much did PAOC pay for this to be approved ? I would like to hear the SAAFL Reasoning behind this.

As one of the people who has to make the decision for permits I thought I would explain

The following rule as approved by CLUB Delegates at the start of the year

34.2 The following conditions shall apply for players when Member Clubs have more than one
team participating in the major round:
(a) There is free interchange of players between consecutively graded Divisions subject to
player’s eligibility.

PAOC currently have their top 3 sides still playing in the Major Round so players eligibility refers only to them playing 4 games during the year
Therefore any player who has not played in the finals in the A & B Grade is eligible to play - infact the rule allows for their entire C Grade side to play D Grade

Hope it at leasts explains the decision

sorry couldn't help myself. but in all seriousness. we're not trying to mess with the system these blokes have legitimatly come back from injury and need a game. we're just lucky enough to have everyone else already in a GF

So if there playing withing the rules, whats the problem? Clubs agreed to this at the start of the year. If you are more worried about 1 or 2 players playing, game is lost already. Heres a answer, go out and beat them!
Im sure 1 or 2 players doesnt make a team unbeatable.
