Fair call. Always hard to compare teams in different divisions, but from what I have seen West Croydon will be ultra competitive in Div 5 if they play like they have this year. Based on the last 4 years all Div 6 teams that have been promoted have done very well in their first year in Div 5. In fact, I believe they have all made finals with a number going straight up to Div 4.

2006 Greenacres & Central United
2007 Golden Grove & Blackfriars
2008 Hope Valley & Westminster
2009 Brahma Lodge & Hectorville
pretty sure central united went up with greenies
Apologies, they did indeed....and weren't they the exception to the theory that the top Div 6 teams will be ultra compettiive in Div 5
No they weren't, i thick they played div 5 finals first year up in 2007!! Then relegated in 2008.
that was awesome

Isn't that a bit rich Quichey, particularly from someone at Houghton or as many people call it 'The place that time forgot'.....

I have found the facilities at Trinity to be of good standard.
Yeah teams may have to walk a couple of hundred meters from changeroom to oval but if that's the worst of it, then it's not really that bad.

I know the SAAFL have reviewed the facilities on a number of times and they have found them to be of an exemplary standard (That means good Quichey).

not teams..one team..the visitors..the home side (TOS) strolls 15 metres from its rooms to the oval..no way is it exemplary standard..the oval itself is fine but where are the toilets for spectators?..where can they buy an alcoholic drink? can you even drink on school grounds? no scoreboard except for something the u/13s may have used..and just for good measure its a shitty drive as well..

like i said..i hope TOS win :)

have the away teams been using the far changerooms again this year? i know last year in the minor round, we had two little crappy changerooms (as school teams got first preference) but in finals we got the normal away changerooms which are pretty gd. also last year, heard a rumour that we could have used the main oval but still got stuck with the normal oval. to be fair though, you pay for a home final so you want to use the oval you have played on all year

What zed said. I'll add that there is no shelter for spectators and there's never been a bbq run there when we've played.

Read my original post Benzie, I wasn't having a dig at the few facilities they do actually have.

i saw a few sausages cooked when we there, over by the "tuckshop" ..but the guy doing the cooking was intermittently abusing the CLG boys whilst cooking so i avoided him..

i think CLG suffered the worst in div 6 with injuries and players leaving (harvey) no matter what people say about him he is still a presence in the lower divs as proved last year coming top 3 in the medal count..

benchmark has issues with CLG unknown..best to leave him to his misery..westminster and heccies are above WC and whoever they will play in a fortnight in my opinion, and i have seen all the teams..valleys are just hanging around in div 5 and look..its 2 teams who went up through div 6 coming back..north haven and blackfriars..so premiers and grand finalists do have bad years..as much as you want to dance on the lions grave they aint dead yet benchmark..so suck it up and wait..and trinity havent made it out of div 6 yet either..and i dont think they will..lockleys are back on track..dig?

FYI This will be the first time North Haven have played at this level

correct..my bad..i must have played you guys when we were in division 5..looks like from 1992-2010 NHFC have been in div 4 or div 5..welcome to history in the making..

Looks like it will be Zed.

I reckon Plympton finished bottom of div 4 in 2005 if memory serves me correctly, as PNU went up.

well done to the hawks on getting promoted..great work

Very dissappointing for clg, three years in a row been tipped out and havent gone to A5 just falling short every time ,others seem to be passing them by i.e hope valley hectorville westminster and now trinity every chance to go up next year ...
how many times are they going to regroup...

Watch the exodus now...

Rumours are off to Plympton.

I sure did but not my place to name them as it may affect their ability to go to a new club.
Personally I think it would be a cop out going to Div 5, try and improve your own club.
But 3 years of failure would get to you, and I heard the training culture isn't great there.

Check the clearance page next Feb.

WLF: dont see how it will effect going to another club..its not AFL..

and if failure is playing finals for 3 years then yeah they failed..i am sure marion fc would love to play in a final..failure to not go up a grade yes..but some very good teams have knocked them out of that..

you may have heard some "piss talk" i think.. all major stakeholders have already committed to next year(including visser)..some may still look else where..that happens every year..but i will have a $20 bet not one required A grade player from CLG will be at PFC next year..and why would you want to go there anyway???!! :)
