That was a good game too. The Boomers remain undefeated with another close win this time over the host country.

Maric was awesome, just awesome. Andersson was huge in the first half and then again late in the game. Neilson stepped up in the third quarter, and Mills finally started to get going late in the last.

I thought Markovic was very impressive, he didn't score but had 3-4 assists and his defence was outstanding.

Ingles and Newley were both very quiet, will need to lift tonight. Disappointed Barlow saw no time.

Glad we got the win, down by 6 with 2.5 mins left it was looking dodgy.

Lost 74-72 to Argentina. :(

So close, so, so very close. We led for about 90% of the game.

Gibson had a 3 point attempt at the buzzer but he narrowly missed. I guess lookiing at it logically we were lucky to win one and unlucky to lose another, so perhaps 1-1 is fair.

Gusty effort last night. Mills was outstanding, Neilson and Andersson very good, Ingles much improved. Barlow gave some important minutes with 2 steals.

Like you said NFC it was very disappointing to lose that game after leading for the vast majority of it but 1-1 is where we would've expected to be after these first two games. Tonight's game against Germany is the big one and could determine whether we avoid the US in the second round or not.

That final shot was so close to dropping as well.

But Jordan should have nailed their last shot too, got a good look at it, Michael would have nailed it. 8)

Excellent start by the Boomers and that was a nice three by Barlow.

We're really flowing at the moment.

Grrr I know Ando can hit the outside jumper but he's turning into Rasheed here. Getting too comfortable from the outside. 1-4 already.

Ridiculous block by Newls, so good, he came from nowehere.

Defence amazing, being helped by the fact the Germans keep missing outside shots. They don't really have the inside game or threats like Argentina did.

Mills really starting to get hot at the end, and how was that fast break pass to Newley? Ingles developing into a terrific international basketballer.

Aussies are doing a great job on the boards, slick ball movement and minimal turnovers. Keep it up boys, hammer them, no letting up!

And to that blonde, marry me please?

We can really hang our hat on our defence, superb. Maybe the Germans big game last game has taken it out of them?

Pleiss got drafted by an NBA team in the draft this year but hasn't done much. Mills is flowing and Ingles is really losing that tentative feel he had about him in the past now.

We're playing with such confidence at both ends and it's great to see. Too many times at big major tournaments we get too hesitant.
