Everyone tell me... Even if Aldinga have recruited 11 players A/B's from other comps that arent as good as SFL.... do you still expect them to win a game. They have to recruit another 10... to even become competitve!!

We wont be taking Aldinga lightly this year Cheech. I know that some of the players they have picked up are top A grade footballers. You would think 11 new players would have to improve there club and make them more of a competive force. As for Hackham I've heard there struggling for numbers on the track, hopefully they pick up some new footballers soon. The league needs these lower clubs to lift.

Cmon....You tell me who they're going to beat? Hackham and Morphettville Park and that will still be a test for them!! It will take them 10 years to rebuild.... Just look at Flagstaff Hill - they're only now just coming good!! And that was by rebuilding through their Juniors, not getting guys in from other clubs... it just doesnt work! Just look at Morphett Vale, all those guys have come up through u/14's. Being successful over many years entices new players to clubs without having to pay the coin!! They would be better of joining another league and actually get some short term success if they are going to pay players.

It dosn't have to take 10 years to rebuild a club Cheech, just have look at Hallet Cove. In 2001 they were the laughing stock of division Two winning the wooden spoon. 2004 they were playing division 1 finals, and are now one of the strongest clubs in the League.

Morhpett Vale got Matt and Sam Joraslafsky back and are confident of 4 in a row!!!!
Cove got Greg (i have problems communicating with my players) Anderson too coach a mob of division 1 wannabes.

Don't think he will be playing with christies i've herd he is just out there running off the spare tyre......

how do you think the mighty Southern Hawks will go this year? I'm new to the SFL and have just signed with them, they have told me they expect to finish in the top 8 ? And i've herd this is a dirty league with a few head hunters going around just wanting to fight and not play footy is that true ??? and if so what clubs have them?

Interesting goss there insider, even without picking these two up Morphettvale will still be pretty hard to stop from completing 4 in a row. I would think they still have plenty of depth to cover.
As for Reynella things have been pretty quiet their way so far into 2007. They would certainly like to atone for the last couple of years.
To Morphettville Park and their coach why would you sign him for a 6 week probation period and then have to look for another coach if things don't work out!!!!

No it only takes an influx of juniors who want to hang around and do some hard yards.

Got a name for the ex-Mannum gun?

Also, who did Matt & Sam J play for last year? Was it Jervois?

What is the prediction for the top 8 this year? i'v been told Aldinga will be up there, thats a joke if i've ever herd one, who cares if they have picked up 11 new A grade players they will need to get another 10 to fill a whole A grade team, Bad luck sharks i think you will be fighting with morphy parks for the wooden spoon.

Yeah the Ex mannum gun is Kane Stewart, he played for Noarlunga last year.

Matt and Sam did play for Jervois, Morphett Vale don't even want Matt back but they will take him if Sam returns to the club.

Hey Hawk, if they told you they expect to finish in the top 8, I think you may be in for a shock.... by the sounds of it Dingy's may even have your measure quite easily this year.... and thats pretty bad!!.... then when you play the top 8 sides, pretty much the only thing holding the other teams back from scoring will be the time keeper!!... Good luck.

As for head hunters.... Hawks have no heads to hunt, so you wont have anything to worry about...!!

RE clubs wanting to fight

HAWK,

for the games I saw last year the only club that played that way was the Southern Hawks, maybe they might start to play footy this year instead?
