Big flash Benny G dominated the 3rd to haul us back into it. Why were the blackwood boys giving him a spray after the game? Dare say that'll go in the memory bank!

DA,
Something has been going on between Blackwood and Gordon for about
4 years. I reckon he must have said something to Salievic back when he was playing in the back pocket and it has gone on since then. All good fun in the muddy hills.

Did i see some grey creeping into your hair yesterday ? Was it there before the game or develope throughout that cracking last qtr ?

Goal for goal last quarter with Mt.Lofty getting up in a thriller over Onka Valley.

The difference was big No.1 in the third quarter.

Great game.

Wel played by Onkas though. They played very well and looked like they had the match sewn up with a late goal. Credit to our lads for never giving up.

Cracker of a game that neither side deserved to lose.

Agree 100% with your comment that no side deserved to lose. Credit to the 42 players that represented both clubs yesterday a truly magnificent game. Heartbreaking for our players and coach. A great effort from a very young list at Onkas all goes well for the future. Devastated is a massive understatement. :( :( :( :( :(

I felt bad for OV.

It was time that got them, I'm sure another 30 secs and they would have got it back.
That's just footy I guess.
Best game from memory I've seen.
I thought they had it with OV last goal but how Lofty replied was beyond me.

Would someone mind explaining how the last few minutes of the Devils v Onkas game unfolded. Sounds like it was a thriller of a finish.

Well basically Lofty i think were 1 point up at 3/4 time and then for 30 minutes they took turns in kicking a goal.
I reckon maybe 4 even 5 lead changes in the last 5 or 6 minutes.
Good skills for the wet conditions and all players crashing in like their lives depended on it.

Vastly different to saturday's match that didn't even feel like a final - zero atmosphere. The Uraidla machine fired up its engines very methodically disposing of the Woods .

Yeah there would have only been a couple of goals in the first 20 mins of the last quarter, but then probably 3 in 3 mins at the end. Though Lofty had it when McDonald snared one and we heard the runner say there were 3 mins left, then Dingo Tanner had surely won it for Onkas with about a minute left with a running/weaving goal. God knows how the ball got out of the middle from the following ball up and somehow DK Stevens pumped a long ball in, for McDonald to rove a contest and snap it through.

Great game of finals football full of atmosphere, moments of brilliance and emotion.

That was the moment of the match by the young veteran. Pure skill to collect the ball, fend of a couple of would be tacklers through sheer grit, strength and determination and pump a perfect ball long into the forward line.

That's how you play football. No stuffing about with it, get it in long and fast and let the forwards do the rest.
