Agreed. There was a bit of inconsistency so far as being hit high was concerned but definitely good to see them letting the game go...

Indeed. Heard more than one Doggies' supporter praying for an Eagles victory next week

Great game by the blues today, my faith in them was wavering I must admit and changed my footy tips accordingly - very happy to be wrong! What a strange year it's been where we can knock off supposed premiership fancies with some conviction but powder against lesser teams like Port twice! Coming into good form at the right time of the season might not count for much having squandered the best part of it already...

But for poor kicking we should have won last time against the Eags - hoping we can turn that one around. Is Treeby playing? ;)

Like ZipZap, I'd certainly lost faith in the team this season and that may be well founded should they fall over against Torrens next week, but if I were a betting man, which I'm not, I'd be placing a grey lady on the Blues next week, as I reckon Sturt are a great chance to knock over Torrens and finish in 3rd or 4th spot and be primed for the finals. They seem to have really run themselves into some great form and today's victory was just the icing on the cake.

Once again, you could just see from the start, that this was another day where the speed and tenacity of Sturt was just not going to be matched by a shell shocked Central outfit. To their credit, the Dogs really threw down the gauntlet in the third and fourth terms, gauntlets that in previous years Qualifying Finals was enough to get them over the line in the dying seconds, but this time could only get them within touch, but nothing more.

A great, character victory for Sturt... a win over Torrens and I think we're well and truly in the hunt to possibly do some real damage come finals time. Sturt are setting themselves up for a Port of 1998 run...

Maybe.

Here's hoping.

Yep, and thinking back to when I had new borns at home, I'm tipping he had bugger all sleep last week and that contributed to his form.

Interesting to note that everyone was part of the rotations yesterday, not just the midfielders. Presumably just part of the player management at the end of the increased training load.

Sturt looked good, definitely a danger side if they make the 5. Chambers seemed to pull a leg muscle at one stage although stayed on the ground, any news on that front?

Still had a great day exchanging banter with a few Sturt supporters near the race, some good laughs. And handshakes and back slaps at the end of the game to prove it was all in good spirits, well played.
