So any tips for the weekend???

I'm going for Victor over Yank on the bay oval, and Creek over Willunga.

Some wishes there of course - I want Victor to win (and its 50-50 in my opinion) and want Willunga out so they dont beat our 6 in a row!

It appears that the big tigers full forward is also known as hip hop artist "DunDee"

Yep it's him

Wouldn't $5 entry still be financial for the league as they don't get any other gate takings for the season? I think attendance numbers would be far greater and they would still accumulate the same (or possibly more) revenue as more people would attend. Can get a bit expensive if you attend both finals on the one weekend. Not much I know but they should do a weekend pass or something similar.

the SAAFL are trying to slug punters $15 for GF's this year! $8 seems fair with $5 for consession

we are paying the umpires wages!

Victor and Willunga for me. Too much class at Willunga to go out straight away.....taking nothing away from the Creek. Both games should be crackers.

Creeks have 5 - 6 ins from last week and along with a few sore players from last week could be vulnerable. Being an Elimination Final, they have to go for broke but it could well be standing room only on the bench by the end of the match which has happened to them several times this season. The absence of Feast will be a massive loss for them but still have to be rated a huge chance of ending the Demons run of 6 flags.

Thanks for the info JJ. I wonder how the Willunga side is shaping up - a lot of quality missing last week (M Thomas, Baxter, Genovese, Wadewitz, Carnevale, Guitink)

A's:
VH 11.12-78
YA 9.9-63

Tight tussle for the first half with both sides struggling to put majors on the board as the defences rebounded well for both sides - Victor led 4-4 to 2-5 at half time. In the third Yank closed the gap early before Victor got a run on to lead 9-9 to 4-8 at three quarter time. Victor got on the board early in the last to have a 6 goal lead - then Yank hit their straps. Everything went Yanks way and the ball barely left their forward line - with about 8 minutes to go the difference was about 14 points but Victor settled and held on till time ran out to leave Victor with a 15 point win. Hodge and Graham were all class for Victor and Jeremy Bell did a superb job on Pratt. The marking power of Yanks big forwards was great but they really struggled to convert until the last quarter. Typical hard finals game which had a bit of everything - lots of tough scrums, fast transfers through the centre by Yank and Hodge's marking and polished finishing.

B's:
WI 13.9-87
ML 9.7-61
I heard the medallist broke his leg :(

Senior Colts:
LC 11.5-71
VH 5.5-35

Junior Colts:
WI 6.4-40
ST 1.4-10

What a sensational start to the finals. Condolences to Walker for the ankle break. Is that the end for mc laren.....

'a' grade game was a cracker. Very surprised not to see Hodge vs Pratt? For me Victor seemed to be on top majority of the game regardless of the scoreboard.

Looking very forward to the next few games....

Bell's shutdown roll was pretty important IMO (note he was given best). I thought Victor was on top all day too (although the run Yank got in the last was worrying) - thought that might have been my blue and white glasses though! 8)

With Langhorne Creeks Ben Warren retiring from South Adelaide after yesterdays match, will it be another Langhorne Creek young gun that fills his spot in front of the big sticks next year??? Bens' opening bowler partner at the Creek cricket club, Thomas Johnson put in his claim for his Full Forward spot next year in booting the Souths' reserves side to only their 3rd win for the season yesterday, cooly slotting through 6 majors in what was described as a 'Superfreak' effort by his partner Jane. Tom wasn't quite as over awed by his performance as he felt he should've kicked at least 8.
We dont expect to see Johno for the 1st few weeks of the cricket season as we believe he'll be too occupied admiring his new 5 rifle Gun rack which was promised to him by one of his adoring family members if he bagged 5 or more. ;)

would $1500 a game at Echuca, be on the ball. They raided a couple of SANFL clubs last year.

Big win by Willunga. Anyone that was at the game are the September specialists hitting their stride or did the creek look tired?

From what i saw, Creeks looked slow and tired, too often brushed aside and 2nd to the ball. Need to find a quality mid fielder/ on baller or two next season.

This is one of the most disgraceful posts that I have seen on this site. To gloat about someone breaking their leg and disclocating their ankle in a pretty horrific footy accident, and to then call it karma, you need to have a good hard look at yourself.
I think that you will find that Walks is very well respected player within the league. I know that you are trying to bait the McLaren supporters but seriously mate you are a deadset nob.
