Ouch. Especially when you've left it on the bench to take in the morning!

My failure to discipline my child. Angus was being really rude and I was trying to tell him off but I started laughing instead - couldn't help it. Now he thinks he's really clever.

He'd been behaving badly at school today, so I told him that little boys who can't be nice to their friends don't get any lollies (we'd just been at the supermarket and he was asking for this and that), and he yelled 'I'm NOT a little boy! I'm a BIG boy!' I told him that if he wanted me to call him a big boy, he needed to act like one, to which he took umbrage and hit me. I told him to get in the car. He said 'You're going to smack me, aren't you?' and I said 'Well, you deserve it, don't you?' and he got mad again and yelled 'You're NEVER making me get in the car, EVER!' and gave me the most furious scowl. I was about to embark on my 'If you don't get in the car NOW there will be consequences' speech but that scowl cracked me up and I just started pointing at him and laughing instead.

I rang up a $1300 phone bill once when I lived with my parents. I paid it in full, but Dad wrote a letter to Telstra saying that I was mentally ill, then he actually went into the Telstra shop and cried. They refunded him (and thus, me) $800.

can I hire your dad? I have a bill for my now cancelled contract in excess of $1500...

I wouldn't dispute someone calling me mentally ill...

I was furious when I found out. He'd decided to keep it a secret but too bad he'd written the letter to Telstra on my computer. I told him I'd rather he kept the $800 as it was 'bought with lies'... but then about a week later I changed my mind.

$800 whilst living with the parents would have been a fortune...

If I was still with mine, they wouldn't see me for a week :partyman:
