main buzz around the "verandah" was the next coach of GX..... has been appointed but for once the committee is staying 'as one ' and silent. [ but may be an ex -afl player ]
Wasn't it out of 3?
Eddie Hocking was one who missed out along with Ricky Pearce.

He also coached another SAAFL Club to 2 grand finals.

The Hawks looked like they were gonna kick away in that 2nd quarter, but then goodies hit back hard. Burton and Illman i reckon were the 2 who played the biggest part in getting them back in the game.
From what i saw, best for goodies would have been Giles, Bartel, Illman, Burton.
Number 8 for Salis kicked a bag, but no real stand outs. more of an overall team effort.
next sat should be a cracker. my tip is henley to win though, with the hawks winning the other game.

Uncompromising, aggresive and clean they were the two who dragged the game back Goodwood's way. Illman clunking everything also helps the cause. Whilst it was close throughout the second half lots of missed shots from Goodwood could have seen the result a little more lopsided.
Interesting decision to play Jordan at CHB - He was well beaten by Illman and had little influence on the game after half time. He is such a good player at this level I would have thought he would have caused troubles if played on a wing or half forward and allowed to do his thing. including Joe Hay in their side would also have made a difference, they missed him in close.
