Personally, I think if the dogs play well they win. The dogs' best, from what I've seen, is better than anyone else's. But is another side capable of producing something more than what we've seen or if the dogs are off on the day can someone capitalise.

I don't rate Glenelg this year at all, despite their disposing of the Eagles last week and the fact that they're sitting comfortably in second spot. I think they're a bit erratic and they'll fold in the finals. My tip is Centrals v Norwood with Centrals to come out ahead by 40 points. (Bloody Centrals. I'm starting to think I might hate them even more than I hated Port Adelaide in the nineties.)

IMO the dogs to play Norwood, but I dont think the dogs are a certainty by a long way. Havent had a settled side all year and then throw in the prospect of returning AFL players (Griffen, Henderson, Nash, Gunston, albeit the latter 2 have played more for the dogs) and it could unbalance the ethos of the team. I hope I am completely wrong but I always feel this way heading into finals.

The Dogs are ripe for the taking if any other side can step up to the plate and take it from them.

We have not had the Cinderella sides capture the imagine of the public like they did in the 80's and 90's. Perhaps this is because of the increased professionalism and focus on the mental attitude in footy these days of the top sides.

Or the reduced standard and mental toughness of everyone below 3rd compared to the 80s and 90's
