I can see where your coming from , but our coach was not a happy lad after last week , labeling the effort " weak " , so that would definately rule Redden out due to his lack of a physical presence , and for a boy 6foot5 , well lets just say he aint ready and leave it at that !

Is there some serious pressure for spots or what? 4 massive ins. I take it Nash is playing AFL? Sibenaler and Switala sitting in the reserves waiting a call up as well.

S Thomas anyone of note?

Pretty good side on paper, i presume Nash has gone up to the Power.

Also interestingly no Sutherland, has the riverland finals started this week?

I wonder will all the ins play or have they just been named, would be great to a get a few games into Schell before the finals start wasn't in the greatest of form before his injury.

If all the named players a fit (highly unlikely) i would think Musolino and Schiller would be the two unlucky players to drop out.

Come finals i don't expect the backline will be Reichart, Lawry, Barmby but its good to get same game time into them just in case injuries strike or the injured players don't come up. Ideally with everyone fit i would love to see a back six of
Nash Hayes Spurr
Sibenaler Lawry Cochrane

Reichert has been good while if Barmby plays like he did Saturday each week, they won't lose their position without someone actually forcing their way in with some serious form.

Sam Thomas, from the Under 18's...

Played his first reserves game last week and did some nice things...

Not sure if he is related to Paul or not, don't think he is...

Agree. Not worth it for anyone for him to play for the Eagles. What will p*ss me off is if Hentschel is Bock's replacement in the Crows and he misses out by one game to qualify for finals!!!

Maybe we can hope that Davis goes to the back lines and Walker gets recalled so he doesn't qualify for finals!

Good call! Onya Bocky! ;)

PS. Does "quad" mean rest? Hopefully we're just doing a Freo and getting players right for Finals and Welsh and Powell aren't too serious.

I think the bookies would have pulled the odds for the dogs in a way in the last few hours with those changes. The dogs look much stronger while the eagles (IMHO) suddenly look weaker. Won't matter on Saturday if we lose, but I'd be very disappointed if we didn't get the points.

True but from an Eagles point of view who would you rather see in the side a fit Reichart or a fit Spurr or Cochrane

If we look at this side from a betting perspective the Eagles stand as much chance as I do of winning the Nobel peace prize!!!
But if we take a closer inspection and reasons behind it .Of course injury and form drop off after 3/4 time have lead to some changes.Plus rewarding some seconds lads for great performances .
Now a "GODS" coached team never lines up as named .
To me the bench will have Staple and McMahon who else no idea
HF line can not line up as named Miles IMHO can not play at HF.If I'm wrong I'm wrong.then again he could swap with Hentschel !
Jacky has been doing very well on a HB Flank in the seconds will he line up there.Allmond he IMHO is a not a BP player prefer him on the wing when he is switched on that is and doesn't run in circles.

I have no idea whats going to happen .I have missed this weeks training with personal illness no idea whats going on on the track.
All I know is Redden offers two niches to his Bow play him at FF and throw him into the ruck. That is if Parry and Miles are getting beaten.
From our doggies readers who is tall enough to handle a 6ft5 FF?
There are other selection queries pretty certain these may play in the seconds tomorrow!!

Lawry has been playing as our main tall defender mostly, he's 193cm and is more than competent in the air. Hardly been beaten in an aerial contest all year. Hardy is an option, but will be preferred to play second ruck. Will expect to see Hayes and Reichert take the other talls. Havelberg and Schell have both played a lot of CHB in recent years. So I don't expect to get "stretched" down back. The question for the Eagles is if they do go tall (and as I write this it's bucketing down with rain) up forward and we go small and open up the forward line, play Jenner, Goodrem, Callinan and Sansbury in the open spaces do the Eagles have enough small defenders to run with them?
