I must admit to being surprised as to how it has ended up, full credit to Portland & Mitcham for proving me wrong.
Hunter Park suits Iggies down to the ground, I think their midfield will at least match Portland and I feel their forward marking power is stronger. Iggies by 30 points.
Having seen CBCOC at their very best in round 1, I have been a fan of their game. We got the points at home in round 10 but the weather was very ordinary. They are a much better side when injury free & on a fast track. Mitcham have surprised & impressed me with their intensity & work rate, and a lot of growing confidence. Having seen PAOC get knocked off last week, they will be having a lot of belief in themselves now. As has been proven by teams finishing 2nd through 7th, any one of those sides can beat any of the other on their day. Here goes at this stage anyhow......if CBC have close to a full deck, if the weather is fine, if the ground is in reasonable condition & if they are aware Mitcham rebound very strongly through the CORRIDOR & their key forwards are not afraid to play up the ground and lead back towards the goals - CBC by 10 points. If not, Mitcham by 30.
Finally, did Seaton wake up a sleeping giant last week? Reminds me a tad of when the Power knocked Geelong off at Kardinia Park in the last minor round game in 2007.
pretty good assesment there X runna. I would like to think that our midfield would win that contest, the big test for us will be keeping white quiet and also atkinson if he plays aswell. need to be smarter going forward aswell as pedler just gets heaps of it across the back if you dont use the ball well.
Think CBC will get up by about 20pts against Mitcham. From what I have seen both play a similar style, Douglas is the obvious key for CBC and Flanigan is the key for Mitcham. Will be a good fast game out at CBC.
On PAOC, lets hope that Seaton havent awoken any sleeping giants. they will defintely come out firing next week against either us or Old iggies though.
I cant see it happening but a similar finals campaign as 2008 for PAOC would be very helpful for the other 4 sides in the finals.
