IIRC you are never obligated and they can't threaten your warranty if you have it serviced elsewhere from the start.
If I were you or Choccies I write a letter to the manager telling them why they don't get your business.
1. The may not know what rip offs their service manager is pulling to make his department look good in the financial records - I've met that situation and been compensated.
2. Even if they do you get the satisfaction of pointing out you know, even though they may never reply and acknowledge it.

I purchased one of my previous cars from Jarvis. About a week after my service there was some very loud clunking coming from one of the front wheels. Turns out they hadn't put it back on properly.

I wrote a letter complaining and they gave me ..........

A free service. Yep.

Needless today I did not return, and never will.

They BROKE a wheel nut off my car, and all I got was a free loan car the next time I got it serviced (which they still attempted to charge me for)!

The best one they tried with me after one service they told me the batery was dead (claiming the only way they could start the car was by jump starting it), yet the battery lasted another 20 months!

The real annoying thing is basically a week after you service the car the 'your car is overdue for a service' letters start piling in.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

That's a common one with shonky service agents trying to bolster their profit and look good to the boss.
I had a place in Melbourne tell me my old Musso had over $6000.00 worth of work urgently needed and they printed me off a list.
They offered to do it all for $5000 if they could do it all in one go in the next week while they were less busy than usual to help me out.
Then they took me out to the workshop to show me the faults - like marks on the underneath of the engine.
They said they were caused by the engine mounts being soft and letting the motor bottom out when I drove over bumps.
[They looked like file marks to me.]

I drove it to Adelaide from Melbourne a few days later, as already planned anyway, having rung the RAA to book it in for inspection - the RAA found only two things wrong:
1. The handbrake did need a new cable, not a complete rebuild.
2. The back shockers needed new bushes - not a complete replacement of all four shockers - Pedders in Keswick did those for $20 fitted!

That company went bankrupt a few months later.

That is disgusting. At 11 years old they shouldn't even be thinking about holding hands... :(

Don't worry Johno6 - it pays off in later life when all your contemporaries are grey or bald and unfit, and you look years younger than them.
I had the same issue and am benefiting from it now. I'm 66 and not even grey except a bit at the temples. 8)

People tend to think I'm younger than my age, but that's probably because I crack up every time I hear a trombone and I can't go under a tree branch without trying to jump up and hit it. :-"

People think the opposite of me... like I sound 50 on the phone, yet I'm less than half that- when they see me in person, they say "that can't be you...!"

My back - feels like it's been kicked by a yak. I mastered the full cobra position in yoga yesterday and the teacher asked me to demonstrate it to the others - feeling rather full of myself, I held the pose for about twice as long as I normally would, but I'm paying for it now. Oh well, that's what I get for showing off!
