Don't see how he can as he's been sacked, Adelaide is who he was listed and employed by, nothing to do with WWT. Even if he could I'd doubt that he would want to. Also I doubt he would've played enough games for WWT to qualify and with Adelaide not playing finals then it just about makes it a definate no.

Not sure yet. The Eagles will be keen to have a strong side for the remainder of the minor round but Bock will not be eligible for finals so they may not bother with him.

clanger wrote:I reckon nathan Bock will stay at Adelaide so there is no need to worry. The reasons i believe why he will stay is that he is a adelaide born person so all his family live here along with his friends football and non football, he is guaranteed a starting line up, he is palying in a side who regularly play in finals series and if he Decides to go to the gold Coast he might play for 3-4 years but missed out on playing in finals series in the first 2-3years as they build they team upwards so in terms of football success he is better off staying in adelaide it is more likely based on what has happened in the past.

I thought the AFL was going to compensate by giving a club a first round draft pick?

You are right mate but they will decide what one we get

Are you 100% sure on that? From what they were saying on footy classified last night we get nothing for him.

should be interesting to see what comes of it. i just wish he had of said something a few weeks ago and not cost the spot of davis knowing full well he was going.

Says in the Advertiser that the earliest we will get for him is pick 26 due to some formula.

I saw that. Not good. Better than sweet FA though I guess. Not sure if that would be enough to close a deal for an established player.

So have you worked in the same job since school Aceman?
Can anyone here say that if a job offer came up for an extra 50% pay you would not take it.

Agree entirely, if he didnt take the offer he would have been a bloody idiot. That sort of opportunity only comes once in a life time. Good luck to him

Heard Phil Harper last night on 5aa. Explained his understanding of the compensatory pick (yet it's yet to be finalised by AFL  )

He said we get a draft pick in the first round, which can be taken anytime in the next four years, and it will be straight after your first pick in the draft. You have to nominate at the start of the year that you intend to use it that year.

I hear a rumor that when he told the playing group that he was no longer going to be at the Crows and that he was going to the Gold Coast, one of the players stood up and gave Bocky an absolute serve. Don't know how true it is though...
