In Light of recent events, will Bocky see out the season with the Eagles?
Is this as good as it gets

One would think he'd have his surf board packed already. Crows wouldn't care if he did or didn't. I'd guess Gold Coast would like to see him recovering from some of his recent injuries.

Is there any point? He can't qualify for SANFL finals so would only be taking up someone elses spot for 3 weeks.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

You never know they might play him for the last few games to try to make third spot - then replace him with someone else for the finals...

First up why would the eagles play him when he can't play finals, and secondly why would he play himself when he's struggled with injury so much? Also if he was even thinking of it GC would be on the phone in a flash.

Agree. Not worth it for anyone for him to play for the Eagles. What will p*ss me off is if Hentschel is Bock's replacement in the Crows and he misses out by one game to qualify for finals!!!

Maybe we can hope that Davis goes to the back lines and Walker gets recalled so he doesn't qualify for finals!

I liked to see Redden promoted to the league team and play Full Forward something the league has lacked since Salter and Schulz got called up to the Power

This might be one for Spelly....

I know Bocky only played one game for Eagles this season but for some reason keep thinking he may have had a run with South's reserves in the week of our 1st or 2nd bye the week before (as did Trent Henstchell during the most recent bye) ..... which would count as a second game meaning he could play the last 3 and make it to the 5 to qualify. If it wasn't Bocky im sure another AFL listed Eagle has played at South this year but dont recall who.
Trust the process.

Trent Hentschel played a game for South's reserves about 3 weeks ago from memory, I was there at Noarlunga to see for myself. I think you might be thinking of Bernie Vince who lined up for the Panthers reserves also at Noarlunga but a couple of weeks before Rowdy.

Thanks Big Phil..I knew there was another one....South have had a few blokes have a run in their twos this year....the joys of being at the foot of the table.

Even if it had been a possibility it probably would have only been a further disruption to what is quite a settled backline atm, so I agree with you 100%, stability has probably been a key to Centrals success over the last decade so there is obviously something to be said for it ;)

She resigned from her job on Monday. Nathan confirmed it on 5AA tonight but did not state where she worked or when they were moving up to the Gold Coast, except to say that they were going up for a few days at the end of the minor round.
Cheers

Some VERY interesting stats between Central and the Eagles, thanks to stats guru PhilH:

The 2 sides have played against each other 50 times in the minor round - wins are locked at 25 a piece

In finals, they've played each other 9 times, Centrals have won 8 and lost 1 - the loss of course being the 2006 GF

Central have won 7 of the last 9 encounters between the 2 clubs - but Eagles won the last 3 at Woodville

Dogs last won at Woodville in Round 21, 2005 (on August 21st back then) - that will be 5 years to the day on Saturday !!
