Anyone see Mark Latham's story on 60 minutes tonight (Sunday) ??

I thought it was quite good and said alot about this election.

He was quite correct in what he was saying.

He maybe a bit of a "nutter" but he had some valid points :D

Speaking of media BS.

"Poll shows Coalition poised for win":

The poll found the two-party preferred vote for the Coalition was 51.4 per cent to Labor's 48.6 per cent.

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/in-d ... 5905342243

"Galaxy marginal seat poll":

This produced a national 2PP figure of 51.1% for Labor, completely at odds with the figure of Coalition 51.4% reported above. Then it dawned on me that whoever calculated 51.4% has made a very basic error of political analysis.

Goze you should know Newspoll generally leans towards the coalition its results - Morgan?Gallop the ALP - I mean they even predictd an ALP win on the eve of the 2001 election only for the Coalition to increase its majority.

As Mick says the only poll that ounts is this Staurday.

As i said before in teh prediction thread - labour to lose seat but not enough to tip them out of the right side of the speakers chair.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Morgan's also released the poll last week showing Labor with a 57-43 lead - just another example of how reliable their 'polling' is

Andrew Southcott in Boothby is currently showing odds of $1.45....is it just me or does that seem good value?

He's survived tilts at his seat from both the Democrats in 2001 (Jo Pride) & Labor in 2007 (Nicole Cornes). Even though Gillard's parents live in the electorate, I think Southcott will hold on comfortably.

So we get another debate, this time on the economy.

At least this time it will be Tony Abbott versus "The Real" Julia Gillard...
