For those of you who want some value in the Golden Rose to be run on Sat 28/8 may pay to invest before a few runners start their campaigns this Sat.

The 18/1 currently on Unitab for Toorak Toff is value for mine and it is shorter with other betting agencies.

Just a little inside info since moving up to the Gold Coast, I was speaking to one of the owners (a former socceroo) of Flintlock and Innovator and apparently Flintlock will be ridden for speed up front to try and set up the race for the stable mate Innovator, Ipswich Race 6. Interesting if this pans out ill will be having a small each way dabble. These owners are are also connected with Buffering (which won on weds) and were enjoying the win with a fair few amber fluids so not sure if it was the :drinkers: talking if Innovator gets up 2day im guessing he will be back at my tavern for a few more bevvies.

Good luck all

Race 1 @ Randwick, putting some coin on number 7 Dostana. Paying top odds @ $26 fixed, won easily on the heavy track last start and has gone down in the weights. Even $9.50 on the place is a top bet (NTD).

Rosehill even. Runs at Randwick he's guarenteed to win with no other horses. Oops

One at juicy odds in the next at Sunshine Coast.

Really liked the run of #8 Lissoy's Lass in it's last race. Has only won 1 in 20 hence the odds of $25 but a chance me thinks.

Hope you got on at that price.
Dirty on myself for missing him on Saturday as I did read in paper a couple of weeks back how Toorak Toff's trainer Rick Hore-Lacy said that it's the best horse he's had since the legendary (IMHO) Redoute's Choice which as most will know is probably the most sought after horse for breeding in Australia.

TWE you know that I like to keep things to myself, but on this occasion I will tell you what I have done so far.

Despite all the hype about Shoot Out I am very keen on So You Think to go back to back in the Cox Plate. 12/1 has been taken, I know thats not a great price but IMO its the best horse in Oz and if it runs on the day it will be a lot shorter.

In the Melb Cup I have backed the Japanese runner Meiner Kitz, taken the 25/1, once again will be a lot shorter in the ring come Nov. I think the Japanese horses are very classy as we have seen in the past. Will also be a chance in the Caulfield Cup.

What about yourself, any early calls ?

Starlite running at Morphetville tomorrow in race 6. Looks to be a slightly easier race than last start, but my only concern is that Frew is on board  . Was pretty good last start in a harder race.

Havent spoken to the trainer yet, but I imagine the weather in the past and the gate it got should suit.

$6.50 centrebet, and $6 TAB.
