if smosh lose mitcham are in or only just win and mitcham win by 120+ then they will sneak past as well on %. this is all assuming we beat seaton of course.

below would be the ladder IF PAC, SMOSH and IGGIES and Portland all win.

PAC 18&0
iggies 12 &6
Portland 11&7

cbc 10&8
smosh 10&8
mitcham 10&8

seaton 9&9

Mathematically we can pip them with a huge win if they just get over the line.

However, if both Seaton and SMOSH lose we'll leapfrog them both at 5. Obviously we can only really tick the box and beat Kilburn this week, the rest is on PAC and Para Hills to play well (GO YOU REDS!)

Interestingly, the way percentage is worked out, a goal saved is better than a goal kicked? Anyone know why the far/against ratio used in the AFL ladder isn't adopted to SAAFL? In its purest sense, a low scoring game is preferable to a high scoring one, provided the game points for/against is the same. Maybe drawing a long bow here but all things remaining equal doesn't this provide a incentive (miniscule and rediculous but still inherent) to play a negative brand of footy?

Pretty much no chance of that happening. Seaton were ordinary last week, and PAOC are exceptional. They could have 5-6 outs from their core A-grade and still get up, because the blokes in the B's who would step up would be just as handy.

Seaton Ramblers v Prince Alfred OC - as above, should be a big win to finish off on.
Kilburn v Mitcham- big, BIG win for us, needs to be!
Scotch OC v Portland - should get up comfortably.
CBCOC v Old Ignatians - CBC to finish 4th and then straight out next week.
Para Hills v SMOSH West Lakes - because the lads at PH will do the right thing by us and play to their full potential

fair call on the PAOC depth

Seaton Ramblers v Prince Alfred OC - wont be a blow out i dont think maybe 6 goals
Kilburn v Mitcham- coming good at the right time of the year
Scotch OC v Portland - portland seem to struggle at the white picket fence but i think should still get up
CBCOC v Old Ignatians - i think iggies are a better side but who knows with CBCOC
Para Hills v SMOSH West Lakes - ben picking them all year but to give there coach a good send off will win and knock smosh out the 5

Both the SANFL and AFL systems will give the same order. The numbers will obviosuly be different but the order will remain the same.

For a team with a greater for than against, yes, lower scoring games will result in a greater percentage if you win by the same margin. However, for the losers higher scoring games are better.
EG: If you win 2-1 your percentage is far better than if you win 101-100, similarly you would rather lose 100-101 than 1-2.

Yes, winning teams get a better percentage if they win by a set margin in a low scoring game than a high one, however, if they play attacking run and gun style of footy, in theory they will win by a bigger margin.

You have to use percentage otherwise sides that play on high scoring grounds will have an advantage if you simply used a points difference system.

Seaton Ramblers v Prince Alfred OC They will just keep on keeping on. Although if Seaton get it together it wont be by the margins Princies are used to
Kilburn v Mitcham Would love to see Kilburn get one but i cant see it happening
Scotch OC v Portland No brainer. SCOTCH to put up a fight though
CBCOC v Old Ignatians We want Iggies to win this and us to win well to get the double chance
