Could be interesting if Healy refuses to resign seasons end, one ponders what may well happen if that occurs

As the members were told in a letter last year. Vote for the Board or the money goes!!!!!!

Well for starters he isn't "Mr Clipsal" and hasn't been for a while however I don't think the blackmail angle will work next time around as I understand he will be better "briefed" re the actual "facts" from both sides not just a President running scared.

Also the NAFC is very financial now and the loss of Mistral as the major sponsor wouldn't make much of a dent or any to be honest given what companies pay to be major sponsors of SANFL clubs these days? His support should be for the club, not some underperforming Board members who hoodwinked him last time!

Given the club is so financial, why do you say it wouldn't want to pay Healy's contract out? Surely if they've got plenty of money and Healy digs his heels in you're not saying they would let him coach out his contract if they don't think he's the man for the job? Expensive though it might be, it would be money well spent if you can afford it wouldn't it?

May well happen that way but if you knew what he was on re $$$ you would want him to resign first to save big $$$ that could be better spent elsewhere including the new coaches salary!

Perhaps boards generally try to avoid paying out contracts as it can be deemed an admission of guilt, in terms of making a mistake on the initial appointment?

Board members often scramble madly to cover their own asses, so perhaps they might see this as an obstacle toward their reappointment.

Not saying it's the case at North by any stretch, but in general it can often be the way ... Like politicians, board members are often scrambling to achieve what is in their best interests of maintaining their own standing in the scheme of things, and often not what is in the best interests of their constituents.

Are you saying here there will be another ticket running at the next AGM?

The Rumours around are that Ben Hart will be NAFC coach next year and Nathan Bassett will take harts assistant job at adelaide.

... and Healy will coach Norwood?

Seriously though why on earth would Ben Hart want to coach North?

When North dispensed with Jarman's services the hierachy had Ben Hart down to be our next coach - only trouble was NO ONE ran it past Ben as he had a better option at the Crows
-So why would he want it now ?????

technically 7th in a 9 team comp is worse than 11th in a 16 team comp.

Would being beaten by South this week be enough to get Healy the sack? :axe: :Hangman:

Easy for people to suggest that, but realistically it's highly unlikely.

Yeah, but if it does happen, can I be a fly on the wall when Fester finds out about it, the Crows pinching the best coach Norwood have arguably had since Rohde....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You can never say never, but I know Bass doesn't feel as though he's ready for an AFL coaching role, and also thinks there's a lot of unfinished business at Norwood at this time. I guess we'll have to wait and find out.
