The A grade on top from the first bounce easily the best they have played all year, vanders on fire up forward with 10(8 in the first half) this guy near unstoppable on his day. Have to say watching GEPP from Hv was interesting he seemed to pretty much play where he wanted on the field, to me looked uninterested then on final siren just walked straight to changerooms by himself without shaking hands with anyone. A win against Heccies and we finish 3rd, we pushed them first time we played them so I know the boys are keen to for another crack at them.

fido just to put you straight on geppy, unless you were in the coaches box how would you know what his role was. he had to pick up his son from tennis straight after footy(and was running very late) and wasnt going to play due to this fact but with all the unavailabilities put up his hand.yes he should have shook hands with his opponent(if he didnt). whilst we are on the game yes vanders was very good but lack of pressure from our guys on the ball carrier made the delivery to him better.thought the young lad did a terriffic job on him in the second half.
two things that did disappoint me tho was the cheap shot on our defender(punching him in the guts when he wasnt looking) by ranneberg before the game started, then didnt have the courage to put his body over the ball just after that incident. secondly the way some of your players carried on when the game was out of our reach to win left a lot to be desired, which i doubt steve would condone. anyway overall the hospitality was good and yes we were beaten by 3 very good plympton teams i

Fair enough regarding gepp. As for raneburg incident didnt see it. I assume the carry on your talking about was vanders dive after kicking his 10th to be honest it didnt look great but im sure no disrespect was meant it was more the young lad showing off to his mates.

sounds like sour grapes to me! nothin like that ever happens in footy? get over it! i seem to remember last time we played your mob at your mud pit, several blokes were in to ratsy all day! so good on him gettin 1 back i say... and as for celebrations, if u kick 10. do what you want! doesnt happen much, and im pretty sure it was vanders first 10 haul. And if your worried about carry on, speak to your midget runner! he carrys on like a yob drunk supporter from the box and while running around the ground![/quote]

If this is the Raneberg I believe we are talking about then it sounds like not alot has changed. Remember him froma few years back now, Christ I sound old ;). Next I'll say something like back in my day ;)

LOL... Sorry LM, that was my attempt at a bit of humour- I haven’t been keeping record of my tips since the start of the year, and if I did I would more likely be on 44 than 66 !

Maybe we could put forward some candidates.
Steve Fairhurst (onballer) Had a fantastic year, averaged over 8 tackles per game.
Joss den Englese (half back flank/ onballer) averaged 30 touches a game, was everywhere.
Steve Taylor (onballer) was simply brilliant since returning from injury, a large reason of our form turnaround.
Chris James (ruck/ key forward) apart from a couple of quiet games early Chris dominated around the ground, quite often rucked all day.
Damian Newman (Full Back) rugged defender who was rarely beaten, we were lost without him holding the backlines together.

FYI here are the recent All-Australian Wingmen:
2007 Chad & Kane Cornes
2006 The Goodies: Goodwin and Goodes
2005 Hayes and Del Santo
2004 Judd and Lappin
2003 Hayes and Paul Williams

What a waste hey....

You want to have a sook about injuries but when Duncs mentions the umps you jump on him and say "play div 5 get div 5 umps" Well play div 5 and generally you get some blokes who are a little injury prone

Enough said

I agree with the point you are trying to make however your examples do not support it.
The players listed were midfielders and with the nature of all australian selection midfielders spill over into the wing positions. I can't remember too many of the players listed sitting out on wing waiting to receive the ball.

Ok but you havent seen Goodes regularly on a wing? U havent seen micheal long or peter matera destroying sides from a wing? Keiran Johnson from flinders is a perfect recent amatuer example who hurts sides from the wing...Matt Kowal another in times past.....

At the end of the day, your best players are your best players, be it a wingman a back bocket (wanganeen) or a full back. What are you suggesting, all wingman are soft and wait out for the ball?......wow I'd love to be the brahma lodge wingman.....

What you have just described is the Brahma lodge wingman....his name is Brett Aldridge!! ;)

JERK !! Or is that a compliment ?

There's 37 names. The ones in blue would have to be certainties IMO. Bugger trying to put them into positions. Have I missed anyone who is worthy? 1st Ruck will be interesting with quite a few candidates, the forwards kind of take care of themselves. Defenders perhaps the hardest to pick

They were undermanned very much from what I could see and we were a little lack lustre in periods. Game played in good spirits and good on the boys there for sticking out the season and hopefully they will do ok next year.

As far as we r concerned we MUST beat BOS at their ground this week and hope Heccies do the job. Personally I think Plympton will knock them off by a few goals.

Very tight finish and If it pans out that favourites win I'll be stoked....

What did you kick Booze? 5 goals, How many behinds? You didn't have your best day in front of goals. You should of kicked 10 IMO. You must love the delivery you get, it's very good.

Sad to say 5 goal 8 with three that dropped short....very ordinary effort

Sorry, I wasn't aware that hair styles was part of criteria. Had bugger all goals kicked on him for the year but I guess that isn't as important.
