Well on "Shannen," I was in the dog house because of my first response to "I'm pregnant!" to the point that when Shannen was born, I found out along the lines of "It's a girl, she's healthy, I'll send you a text when I have named her." End phone call. :(

Now I love the name, great name, Shannen Elizabeth Grace (Surname Excluded) is gorgeous, but I thought she'd misspelled the first name too, and didn't I hear about it when I told her! ;)

Well this day wasn't fair.

As mentioned a couple of posts up, I have a beautiful little girl, who lives in Melbourne with her mum.

I do the right thing (with Child Support), and had to change my life massively to accommodate the money that went the way of the mother, but I was happy to do that... I mean, it helps Shannen, so I was happy to change.

Now fast forward a year, and I get a letter...

From Child support... Because I had a really good year (I get bonuses when I do really good sales) with my job, I earned more than they expected. Thinking I was doing the right thing, by declaring my "wage," was obviously wrong. Now I have a backdated bill from the last twelve months based on the extra money I earned (which is by no means guaranteed dollars- I have to do well to earn it), which is about $1500. AND my payments have doubled- again, based on the higher figure, which I am no certainty to earn.

MP, I'd write a stat dec and send that with a letter from your employer stating what your salary is.That may get the child support dept. to re-adjust your payments, worth a try at least?

How our farmers have to produce food etc. to meet certain regulations but we allow just about open slather on foreign food imports which in some cases still use DDT as well as human manure to fertilise.

I spoke to these man-haters Rams, and they basically explained at length that even if they are wrong, I can't change it.

And to top it off, If I earn more than they say, then I will get another back-dated bill- BUT if they OVERCHARGE me, then I won't get money BACK from them... ](*,) :-q 3:-O

They can't change it?! Bulls***. My ex has had his payments adjusted at least six times this year. (He writes them a letter saying he earnt $0 for the last financial year. He gets his payments reduced to $360 a year. I ring them up telling them he's lying. They investigate and discover that yes, he is lying. His payments get put up. He rings them telling them that actually he really DID earn $0. His payments are reduced once more... and so on.) So ring them up and tell them that. You can quote me on it if you like - they've got my name on record there.

"Uhh, Mrs child support man hater, Mrs McSpaz, first name Fisho, of safooty.net notoriety, told me that you would drop my payments if I lied!"

Well, I always thought honesty worked, but I might have to lie... :?

Our broadacre farmers already do. They are allowed to use a certain small percentage of their overall fertiliser requirements. Know a number who pick up from Bolivar.

Actually Fisho, I take it all back. Bugger the payments, it's only money...

It's worth it for times like this:

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Not sure where your post went ORD, but I did agree with it. If we're going to have the regulations we have on our food production, then all imports should have to adhrere to them. Don't necessarily agree with reducing our efforts just because another country has laxer regulations, but then each case has it's own circumstances.
