I blame the bitterness and the narrow minded nature of the SANFL and the 8 SANFL clubs for this fantastic result.

Im assuming our thankyou cards from the PAMFC board and its members have been lost in the mail. Along with North Adelaide's president luncheon invitations.

Consider your bluff called Port.

And you are more than welcome to think that.

Hope you dont mind if the rest of us deal with reality though.

Just be happy if Sturt scrape into finals would be my tip.

This is all good news for the SANFL & PAMFC but I can't help but think a few people and in the media need to apologize or at least explain the non-truths they pushed so hard

I heard Port Adelaide asked for the payment of their 2011 dividend already- which is 12 months before it is due.
I believe they haven't paid players for the 2009 season, and have already been paid their 2010 dividend, has anyone else heard this story?

If so I think it would be to clear final debts and then borrow against the P.O.W to redevelop that.

I dont think the 2009 portion is correct. That has been paid and yes the 2010 dividend was paid some months ago, that was the first part of the debt reduction scheme.

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

Central, glenelg, North, Norwood, Sturt, South, West and Eagles should also ask the SANFL for their dividends early.

Thats like having a few kids and giving one of them their weekly pocket money early because he spent all of last week's already.

I guess it was a far better option for the league to have kissed goodbye to its most successful team.
I guess it would have made sense to just watch the club that regularly brings the most supporters through the gates just disappear into oblivion.

It's one decision the SANFL should be commended on and if rumors are to be believed, your club wasn't too far off being in a similar position.

Yet my club didnt get any pay advances though.

So next year will Port get the 2012 dividend early? If not will they survive with no dividend payouts for 2 years?

The advanced payments have all been about reducing debt to a point where we are in a position to borrow against the Prince of Wales, redevelop that and use it to its full potential as an income stream.

The pub is slowly getting better patronage ( Thursday Night Steak Night's are good ) and I think with some work done, a TAB and a more attractive front bar the place will be a winner. I'll be there enough to make sure of that. ;)

If the board can restructure our debts and redevelop the POW, then yes. But player payments won't be what they were for some time I'd imagine.

That's correct. Sturt as well, and I dare say others may have also been in the same boat. You know what the SANFL did to help us? SFA!!!!! We had to do it all ourselves.

Didn't know Glenelg were in trouble?

Been a few years since you were the biggest drawcard, yet it is still repeated constantly.

How come you didn't demand to merge with the Crows and spit the dummy when it didn't happen?

It will be called the SANFLBowl and be played at the Clipsaldome before you blokes get back in there. ;)

Seriously well done Maggies. Wouldn't be the SNAFL without those mongrels in it.
