Playing Seaton at Pasty Park has never been easy for us, and with finals up for grabs, I wouldn't write them off yet

Looking at the final 5 aproaching round18, Mitcham are the side that can replace SMOSH in the top 5 by giving Kilburn a smashing.
Portland can get the double chance by beating Scotch at the picket fence & by hoping Old Iggs beat CBCOC which they should do.
Seaton proved on Saturday they aint up to it & would only be making up the numbers if they were to get in.
PAOC are clearly the favourites with Portland & Old Iggies a toss of the coin to who gets to challenge them Grand Final Day.

threestars wrote:Portland lads I am interested to hear your thoughts regarding PAOC, Old Iggies and CBCOC considering you have played those 3 teams the last 3 weeks. It will be fair to say that PAOC will go in hot favourites but how do you rate OIFC and CBCOC in comparison? Do any of those two teams have much of a chance?

My Free Will wrote:Hey No Mercy whats the feel like around the club now knowing your season is over and coming down a division and talking yourself up as premiership favs early and missing the finals. My prediction is that seaton will follow in the same path as Woodville Sth and Nth Haven. Who knows mate you could all be in div 6 in a few years. Wouldnt that be great.
Not saying my club is any better but i guess that is what you get when you have a bunch of your good players there only for the $$$.![]()
Maybe you should have reconsidered the $$ you were offering for Natt to stay.

PAOC are the clear favourites in the comp, not much can be said that people havent already said abotu them.
Old Iggies are also a very good side, they have pedler down back setting up alot of there attack, a huge target with White, a magarey medalist at his feet, with blokes like connelly and the likes tearing sides apart accross the centre. They are a very good side. I think we could have beat them the other week if we were smarter with our use of the footy. Probs still have to be second favourite in the comp.
CBC are a hard one for portland people to comment on I would think. We have beat them by 9 goals both times. that doesnt mean that they arent a good side, cause as the season shows they are. Just that they seem to struggle with the style of footy that we play. On there day they could beat most sides in the comp.
As everyone knows finals footy is a different game, so anything can happen.
The real dark horse i feel come finals would have to be SMOSH. Up and firing they are a very dangerous side to play.

Presuming they make it.
No doubt they've done the maths and know that a big win for us could get us into the 5, and that's if they beat Para Hills. Going to be a huge game against Kilburn this week, and no doubt just as big at Para Hills.
Hawks are playing a great brand of running football at the moment. Whoever misses out is going to be unlucky, because both SMOSH and Mitcham could shake things up come finals. Seaton you would presume are out of it with PAOC this week.
