ENTRANCE FEE

Postby FOURTH ESTATE » Thu Aug 05, 2010 7:37 am

For those that don't know or haven't read the finals info paper Colonel Klink wants to charge us $15 to get into the D1 - D3 Grand Final & $10 for D4 - U/18 GF's as a spectator.

What a disgrace.

Time we took back our game and league this is not the AFL
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

If my team was in the GF I would happily shell the $10 or $15 to go and watch. Don't see the issue???

$15 is a bit steep, but $10 for the grand final isnt un reasonable!

I'd be looking to fork out at least $100 for the day.

Thats fair enough but I'd like to know what that money is covering the cost of?
We pay all year to cover Thebby, etc so finals just seem to be turning into a cash cow

As a neutral spectator having to fork out $10 or $15 would put me off going to watch.

They seem to forget that we are amateurs. Is anyone going to pay $15 to go and watch a D3R GF if your team is not in the D3 GF.

$5 for C1 GF is fair enough

Are they looking at playing triple headers at the GF.
I have a sneaky feeling this may be the case as there are very few grounds with gates now where you can charge an entrance fee

Well that's where we need to rally together and inform each other of fence holes, unmanned gates etc.

Maybe if clubs stopped paying their players, they might be able to pay for their supporters to get in.

That is as a player though Dragon. The issue IMO is that the players families and friends that come to watch an amateur game have to pay. I play C4 so lets be honest it aint going to be a game of tremendous skill or excitement, purely would be family and friends coming to show me some support and they have to pay this much to watch!

My wife, parents and sister and brother in law come most weeks. For the last two games they as a group could fork out $90 to watch a game of C grade football! It is ridiculous.

Good idea DW, but then clubs like Waikerie, Berri & Barmera Monash wouldn't win a game and you'd have nothing to write about, be out of a job.

Ha! I'm sure some posters from those clubs would be happy to argue with you on that ;)
However, I think footy would be okay here if that happened.
But then again, the RFL isn't the Riverland Amateur Football League.

I wouldn't mind knowing if country comps up their charges when it comes to finals time? I went to an APFL final at Balaklava last year and I think it was $8 with a budget?

make it a simple fiver - its one note'.
anything more is ridiculous - i'd suggest a mass climb over the fence and stand together - security would have problems tossing out 80-100 people and the resultant publicity would be abhorrent to the saafl.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

Im pretty sure they do pag. normal APFL game is 6$ and semi or prelimanary is 8$? but the Grand final is 10$ IIRC. i think concession is one maybe 2 dollars less and under 14 free. the budget should be free every weeks the APFL one is a joke
