Yousuf coming back in is no surprise. But how can you ask, and be allowed, to be released from playing test cricket to play for a county side? WTF is with that?

He couldnt be in the side for the next test with that display...he may as well go back and actually get some time bowling in games...I think it is a good thing to do..Bryce Mcgain might not like it so much (hes just been signed to replace kaneria)

Having emphatically completed a 354-run victory against Pakistan in the first Test, England have stuck with the men who delivered the job and named an unchanged squad for the second match, which begins on Friday at Edgbaston.

Mohammad Yousuf will arrive in England on the eve of the second Test at Edgbaston having secured the relevant visa necessary for athletes. However, although he is winning his race to reach the country on time, having responded to the team's SOS following their 354-run thrashing at Trent Bridge, the team management have suggested it remains highly unlikely he will feature on Friday.

Yousuf is scheduled to arrive in Birmingham at around midday on Thursday to link up with the team as they prepare for the second Test. The management will then assess whether Yousuf, one of Pakistan's finest ever batsman, is able to take his place in the middle order after his mad dash.

Fair enough the way i read it the first time wasn't like he was dropped but that he had asked to be released.

Kamran Akmal has paid the price for his poor performance in the first Test against England at Trent Bridge, and has been dropped from Pakistan's team for the second game at Edgbaston, which gets underway on Friday.

Pakistan 6/37 at lunch.

Zulfiqar Almahad (or something similarly weird like that) debut's as keeper.

Sajeed Ahmed in for Kaneria.

No room for Yousuf

England off to a steady start, 31/0 (Trail by 41  )

Cook was originally given out LBW a little earlier on, but the decision was referred and then seen to have been to high, not out.
