Interesting that there is only a choice between two teams for this poll.
Perhaps it should be retitled "Who'll finish higher out of Sturt and West?".
Norwood and the Eagles are both a chance to finish fifth.

Hmm, I reckon that Norwood & Eagles will finish the season a bit wobbly and this could become a very interesting four way battle with the two best placed sides atm stumbling, the worst place of the 4 charging home and West mixing their form in the middle of all of it. End result: a historic 4 way tie for 3rd-6th (Assuming Sturt have a draw with Port this week).

WEST:

Glenelg (away), Sturt (home), Port (home), South (away), Norwood (away)

Loss, ?????, Win, Win, Loss

STURT:

BYE, West (away), Norwood (away), Central (home), Eagles (away)

?????, Loss, Loss, Loss

I will be disappointed if the Bloods can't make it from here! We haven't played well for a while now but surely we can win 2 of our remaining games.

West just need to beat Sturt and they're home ... lock in South as a win and the season isn't long enough for Sturt to catchup.

Think if sturt do finish 5th they should give it to west as sturt don't deserve to play finals

neither deserve to make it, who-ever finishes 4th will be looking at a win in the Elimination.

Westies look like the inform team to make the final five, when that appears in the final few weeks is anyone's guess, they have the players and the ability, just don't think they have the capabilities to go any further.

I'm not sure why people think West or Sturt don't 'deserve' to make the 5. I'm not sure that the teams below them do, so it's a bit puzzling.

Having said that, a win for West against Glenelg or Norwood in the run home would add some credibility.

PS: As I said earlier, those counting future wins and losses presumed there wouldn't be any upsets. Port have proven taht wrong already and it won't be the last upset, I'd guess.

speak for your own team because West will have certainly deserved it if they make it. Our best team is good enough but because we lack good depth and have had Ferguson and Hartlett out injured for a majority of the season we haven't had that side on the park often enough. From where we were even 12 months ago we have come along well and hopefully the boys can get a crack at the finals this year with an eye on bigger and better things next year and beyond.

agreed its abit silly isnt it. after a 20 game season whoever finishes 5th deserves to be there. i think its more a case of people thinking whoever finishes 5th will be just making up the numbers with sturt being a more 'dangerous' opponent.

If we had a top 3, then most would say that the third team is only there to make up the numbers, when it comes to the finals, its any given team on any given day.

So do I! I think if we had Ferguson for the entire year, we would be top 4 at present. I really feel he is the most influential player on any one team. With him still out for '3 weeks' i feel we wont make the 5, however i hope im wrong!

Seeing as the Eagles finished 5th after the minor round, not sure you win anything.... ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
