I can't believe there is no leading goal kicking anymore, I find that really annoying... especially as Chambo supporter!

They might have a rule that says "Unless otherwise notified, Cambo is leading the goalkicking", such is the frequency of it :D

I think we're fighting a losing battle with the mainstream stuff, need to get more people sponsoring the more independent publications

I think you're right, it's a losing battle.
However, I think that's justified.
Realistically, the greater proportion of the population is AFL orientated, whether we like it or not.
But...there is a market for smaller media to take advantage of.
We're proof that there is a captive audience for the SANFL market.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

I too remember the old lay-out spelly. Far superior.

Great reading through some of those old scores. Lade playing ressies for South, and the South Ressies, 19s and 17s all in the top 3  The Sziller brothers in the best for the Eagles. 8)
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Yeah all of that is fair mate and I agree completely ... I guess I was just bitching about the 2 main publications who are on my shit list these days - Reckon they are responsible for much of the malaise, outlook and attitude in this town with the BS they feed us and coerce so much of our public with .. Lol, ok, rant over for now :D

Correct DW, we are a small portion of the footballing world, but it's not like cutting print space is due to the crowd figures:

1997 3219
1998 3689
1999 3195
2000 2966
2001 3106
2002 3101
2003 2890
2004 2812
2005 2743
2006 2839
2007 2867
2008 3065
2009 2925
2010 3231

It has to be more to do with how popular the AFL is, than how unpopular the SANFL is. This League is no less taken interest to than when Port first joined the AFL.
