Dare say Big Phil, there's more effective ways to paint a wall, than finger painting. No wonder a new coats required. ;)

Thoroughly enjoyed Chris Kendall's call of the game today and Big Phil's crosses on lifefm. Particularly enjoyed CK's analogy about BP capping the well.

really good to see schiller have 5 clearances to go with his 3 goals.

westoff had a better game statistically than i thought as well.

interestingly though we had alot more hit outs yet less clearances that is an area lairdy will definatly be looking at improving.

HIT OUTS:

Central - 52 (J.Mackenzie 23, J.Sutherland 22, P.Thomas 5)

West - 25 (R.Willits 17, W.Champion 4, J.Ezard 2)

There is the game right there.

2 gorillas up against Willits who has done very little ruckwork over the cause of his career.

Until we can get 1 probably 2 full time quality ruckmen (and stop relying on AFL ruckmen), we are not going to be able to match it with the quality sides on a consistent basis.

Willits tries extremely hard and it is certaintly not his fault but he should be a backup at best.

very true but the clearance stats probably suggest we didnt use our ruck advantage overly well today.

I had a bit of a chuckle when Chris Kendall joked about Big Phil going on the bouncy castle and sending the kids flying to Mt Lofty. Sorry Phil.

After a 7 goal to 1 ist quarter it would have been easy for West to go ultra-defensive. But in the 2nd quarter they played positive footy and outscored us. I think that is a credit to the coach and players.

AS for the dogs, I think this has been the first 4 quarter effort for a while. It was good to see good performances from the young players and for players like Sansbury and Gunston find a bit of form. With finals just 5 games away the coach would be wanting to see an improvement in consistency. The dogs skill level which was poor against Sturt and only average against Norwood was good against West. The dogs rely on precision movement and we are starting to see that come back. A pity we have a rest next week as I would like to see us build on this form.
We used to be good :-(

Game was over after the first 15 minutes. We really need to find a ruckman.

Disn't see or hear any of the game but it sounds like a down-on-form Westies team met an on-form Bulldogs team and the result reflected that.
