LK you might want to tell your boys to put the long stops in this week. Not sure what's wrong with Trinity's oval, but all of the grass is coming out and it is very slippery underfoot.

You found that problem too. It's like Etihad in that the turf just breaks away under the foot. Lost count of the times I went to sprint from a standing start and ended up on my hands.

that wasnt from the grass Q :)

LK must have gotten permission to post here..congrats you rebel !! :)

It is pretty ordinary, I know of 1 player that has undergone a knee reco this year after and incident out there

Colonel Light Gardens v Paralowie - CLG to bounce back after they were very good for a half last week. Few players back in this week should see them take the points 51-60
Trinity OS v Kenilworth - Great game this one with both teams with alot to play for. (Kenilworth to secure a finals spot, Trinity to secure a top 3 spot). Just think that Trinity will be too good across the board 21-30
Ingle Farm v Henley - Henley up and down like a yoyo, but surely must go into this game favourite with their form from a month ago 31-40
Houghton Districts v Mitchell Park - Houghton to keep their finals hopes alive with a easy win 61-70
West Croydon v Lockleys - Not sure why any of these teams would even show up with no benefit to the winner ;) , have the week off boys, rest up and both coaches wont have to show any cards before the finals. Sounds simple really. As we all know though they will both show up ready to play, Top spot on the line if WC win they will secure top spot for the year due to their %. Expect both teams to be real hungry and maybe some blood to be spilt in this finals type game. Which team will be the intimidating team? and take that mental edge into the finals. It will be WC for me. Dont think Lockleys can cover the loss of Mickan and the WC fwd line to a bit too big and strong for the Lockleys defence. Be a close great game by the 2 powerhouse sides of div 6. WC 21-30

Great round of footy, good luck to all teams!

No benefit to the winner????? wont the winner be guaranteed 2 home finals and a week off???? pretty invaluable I would have thought.

He's having a stab at the Budget's preview of the game.

And neither are guaranteed the week off - they still have three minor round games to win after this week!

If WC win this week, they will be a game + Percentage clear. Which means they would have to lose 2 out of their last 3 games to drop top spot. Unlikely considering their form and they have only lost 1 game for the whole year! If Lockleys win they play Henley, Paralowie and Ingle Farm. Pretty easy draw for them really, which means they should win these games and finish on top. You disagree with my Q in saying the winner will finish minor premiers??

I don't necessarily disagree with you. Everything points to WC not losing another minor round game, but it doesn't mean it's a dead certainty. Same for Lockleys - nothing is certain!

FWIW, I reckon the Budget writer was looking beyond the blindingly obvious and looking a little deeper into the psychological aspects of this game. It would have been easy to point out the obvious, but it wouldn't have been very interesting.

The winner is not guarenteed top spot, but cmon it is fair to say it will be a massive ask for the loser to finish minor premiers. Its just my opinion that the budget writer got it wrong in saying what he did!! Others may disagree and thats there opinion. But Im happy to have a little bet on the winner finishing minor premiers therefore making this the most important minor round game thus far in the season. I say thus far as there will be more important games to come in the next few weeks to finalise the top 5. This involves CLG, Houghton and Kenilworth. With CLG to play both Houghton and Kenilworth.

I would rather the budget writer talk the game right up to be a clash of the titans with everything to play for. We may have seen both sides after reading that go that bit extra to win, maybe including a few injuries for both sides to bring them back to the rest of the pack slightly ;)

Well yes, after this week, top spot will be a team's to lose rather than be won, if that makes sense. Yep, the action is at 3rd-6th at the moment.
