Clearly not in Aker's character, but perhaps respectfully declining the offer to go on TFS in light of recent events as "I dont want to upset the Bulldogs playing group any further than I already have when they have a chance at playing well into the finals this September. I regret the happenings of recent weeks and wish all my former team mates the very best for the upcoming 6 minor round games and finals."

But oh no, it's all about Aker.

Flog.

And The Footy Show has no part in it? That would have been thier biggest audience for the year. First time I watched it last night. That shows turned to sh*t. Just look at Crawford's World Record attempts to try and get people to watch. Absolute dribble.

I think Aker has every right to be a bit miffed about being sacked for "losing the players trust" when in weeks past we have seen players arrested for having cocaine on them and only get a club imposed suspension.

Instead of being in the media to make up for his pay cut maybe he would have been better off dealing coke.

Ugly, ugly, ugly.

The whole affair reminds me of why a club's 'dirty laundry' should never be aired in public. No matter how outspoken you want to be - what happens inside a club's four walls should stay inside a club's four walls.

I do like Aker - but watching I just had to wonder - How many other players did Aker 'put in it' last night -

"I received text messages and I'll show you after the show"

Also I know it's true - but hated, hated, hated hearing "Our organisation" "Our organisation" when refering to a football club.
Just griped me :(

I found it interesting hearing the CEO talk about the club the way he did. He used words like organisation and called the players employees. That there is the difference in the game at the top level now days. The players are employees, like it or not. If in my day to day job was told to not do this or that and we will pay you accordingly i would do as i am told. Akker is one of the older players that has not worked this out yet. Having said this, if in my job my employer had my workmates sit around me and point out all my faults i would consider this to be extremely confronting and would actually feel threatened by this. I heard Akker say he thought this was a form of workplace bullying?

I actually thought it was good to see the CEO come on and defend thier decision, you can either agree or disagree with the decision but at the end of the day they have a business to run and there was someone inside their organisation that was causing that business to go off course. I hate that it has gone this way because it takes away from the actuall game but it was always going to happen. Guess that is why i love playing still!

I haven't watched for about 10 years. It became apparent very early on to me that it was the Eddie and Sam show and that 'entertainment' was the focus of the show and not football. It's just a 'Hey Hey' football themed show.

Pass.

Do you watch it though Boon? I keep hoping that if no one watches it that it might go away. Worked for Big Brother at least and hopefully Neighbours is also in the gun. Not that any **** has ever asked me what I watch.....why not? I'm a consumer after all.

firsty sam made himself look like an idiot last night, he obviously felt guilty about digging akers hole so went in to bat for him.

what i thought was strange was aka stated three times a conversation with a mate, correct me if im wrong but i though sam "over heard the convo" now his story has changed.

i thought they blatently set campbell rose up and he handled himself extremly well. as much as i hate hutchy, i would have much preffered to see him sitting there asking campbell and aka some questions rather than sams input were his mind was made up before he had heard both sides to the story.

and when campbell left and aka said now p!ss off was a disgrace, if he put i giggle on the end of it i would have thought it was funny but as he kept a stright face just made him look like more of a tool.

One thing for certain...
If Akers form had not wained through injury etc and he was in that side kicking his 2 and 3 goals a week and in good form, this would not have come out yet..
The question still remains, what has he really done wrong ??
Everybody that has played a team sport, at some point in time would have had personality clashes with team mates..
There will always be unique individuals...
As long as you know that this team mate will give you his/her all when the whips are cracking, then that accounts for far more to me than whether you like them or not.. IMO..
I don't think Aker ever let too many people down on the ground to often...

Clearly David Smorgon was not honest is his statement on radio about the vote being unanimous..
