Agreed we all have history - the fact is the PLFL were wrong with their decisions re suspensions but we have to get on with it.

You cannot hold the league to ransome and get away with it. Look how many people sufferred especially juniors who did not play on Saturday. I am not sure here but will any of the forfeits possibly be detrimental to your finals campaign.

The sad thing is is that when you play next things will be actually worse.

If nothing changes, then why would Boston consider playing the round 15 game?

You cannot hold the league to ransome and get away with it.....didn't expect to get away with it, sometimes in life you have to draw a line in the sand

Look how many people sufferred especially juniors who did not play on Saturday....wasn't only the juniors that suffered, also senior grades and supporters :(

I am not sure here but will any of the forfeits possibly be detrimental to your finals campaign....will only be detrimental to junior grades if they take away points :(

The sad thing is is that when you play next things will be actually worse.....what a 17 year old kid actually dies this time

KWF- Which of the MPFC brains trust suggested the above?

So MPFC are asking that Bostons are barred for the next four matches, and only play round 15 against MPFC themselves? It is inconceivable that someone would have the brain capacity to think that is a workable possibility.

Next- $3000 dollars... JB said in the paper that 300 people missed out on playing football (a figure I disagree with). If you look at the fact that THAT figure is probably the sum total of persons who would have been at the ground, they are looking at $10 per person.

Ignore children (most parents will not let their kids eat anything from that canteen, and most MPFC persons don't pay anyway, you have more like 100 paying patrons for the bar/canteen.

Makes $30 per person.

Very few visitors frequent the MPFC bar, because they are not made to feel welcome. Perhaps 20 regular customers...

That ends up at $150 per person...

Maths was never my strong suit, but WOW!

On a sad note D McF looked absolutely gutted last night he and another of others
have put in many hours at Bostons trying to do the right thing and obviously tackling
a huge issue such as this is taking its toll.
Doesnt it seem that we are punishing the wrong team?
The perpetrators of this get off scott free (basically)
The other team that received the belting are being made to pay.

Doug has done an unbelievable amount of work for the BFC, and the way he, and the BFC has been treated is an utter disgrace.

Kudos to Tasmans for their unsuccessful motion last night, and for Souths for backing them.

You are right KWF: The wrong team is being punished.

Waybacks and Marble Range are well within their rights to not back up bostons.
I heard the loss of revenue is $5,000 and this is vital in them being able to run the place.

What will the PLFL decision be tonight? Can you post the result media park or coyote.

The actual amount claimed is canteen $2000 bar $1000 oval preparation $150
this letter is to the league not BFC so I guess each club will be asked to contribute
or maybe the league will pay :(

Having played back in the 80's I can say the tigers were a fearsome unit. Patch Watherston, Bob Edmonds, Milky and a young Ringo Saunders, Hayden Davey, The Bryants, Elbows Potts, Ettridge Kym Paech, Michael Miller, Chook Fowler would whack you at every opportunity. I remember in the 81 prelim it was our first time of playing finals and Bob smashed Freeman Puckridge (even with his head gear on) and put him into the next week.
They beat us narrowly on the day but I was so proud of Seaweed Cherini, Jack Bourke, David Sargeant and Jeff Edwards for keeping their cool as it could have exploded.
It was part of the game then. Now it is not part of the game and I congratulate the tigers for changing their culture.
Go easy on them PLFL tonight, the tigers are making an effort and can't afford a big fine.

No-one needs to explain what any of us are thinking...

But it might get a small mention in the police report.

Nice post Daicos, and it follows on from Panther earlier.

In the 80's, hits behind play was part and parcel of the game (Yeates on Brereton in 89), it isn't now, and it isn't part of Bostons game- nor South, Marbles, Wayback or Tasman.

No-one did answer me before, and it was an honest question:

Can you compare the 80's Tigers to waht happened at UFC Oval on May 29?

The league should call their bluff and ask how this came about. Pulling numbers out of the sky is bullsh!t. I'm sure they have some receipts from bar and canteen takings from previous games, most clubs worth their salt would. Oh, hang on.
After the 'Boston' outcome I hope the league doesn't lose sight of the bigger picture ie the problem club that MPFC is. This is still ultimately about them, I hope that isn't lost.

i know they're not your figuires KWF....even if these amounts were correct at worst we could only be expeted to compensate for profit loss not takings, big difference. BFC canteen does a super job and there's no way this amount is correct, spoiled food as a result of no game and profit lets say $1000 - $1000 over bar believable markup on alcohol 300% so profit around $300 thats $1300 all up....Last time we played the fence was the boundry so ****all for oval preparation.

I remember Harry playing for south, Peter playing for Tasmans and Slick playing for bostons and we all got on fine. The pub shut at 6pm so we went around a fire and drank, played cards and so on. I think we should revert back to that. Harry and Slick won a mail medal and I am not sure on Peter he may have to. The only team we didnt get on with was waybacks in those days as they were all upper-class snobs.
