Whats long and hard when you marry a Sri Lankan cricketer ?
Your surname

Difference in this game in these conditions is the selction of allrounders
Watto was able to keep up the intensity for his 5 wickets
When Asif , Kissblower and Gul were replaced by Afridi the pressure was released

History says 'NO CHANCE'

BUT...

If the sun continues to shine, Pakistan must surely give themselves a reasonable chance of chasing 440 down to create history and win this test.

Needing a further 326 to win with 9 wickets in hand on a very good batting pitch, surely they must fancy their chances.
Geez, just how important was that 126 runs for the last 2 wickets the Aussies put on are now? Everyone except me were saying at the time that 300+ lead was more than enough for Aust to win.

Points in favour of Pakistan......
1/ If the sun stays out, couldn't ask for better batting conditions.
2/ Australia's only genuine spinner (Katich) is reluctant to bowl. Smith's only chance to get wickets is to bowl more long hops like he did to get his 1st wicket.
3/ Pakistan have a habit of winning against the odds, as they are atm, NOT when they're favourites.
4/ Surely Watto couldn't fluke another 5 wickets.
5/ Rudi's 2nd last Test and surely will make a few more Howler decisions b4 his time is finished and they just may favour Pakistan this time.
6/ Bayman's got his money on Australia ?

Points AGAINST Pakistan winning

1/ History says 'NO CHANCE'
2/ Brittle batting line up
3/ English weather being English, meaning that there's a 98% chance of cloud cover which will favour the Aussie quicks.
4/ If they do get in a winning position, they will throw the game for $$$$$$$$$$
5/ 99% of the time, they are just bloody useless !

I think he has a tremendous future
But if he bowls b4
RUG
HILFENWORKHORSEHAUS
MJ
WATTO
Then PA are a realistic chance to get a total of 300 runs for the innings

It should only take a wicket or two and Pakistan will collapse.

A lot of teams over the years have been in a similar position but don't get close in the end.

I don't think Pakistan can win it but I'd like to see them put up a fight. Knowing Pakistan though they are every chance to come out tonight and lose those 9 wickets for less than triple figures.

Jarrod Kimber's Day 3 review:

While people knew Paine could bat, they didn’t really expect Hilfenhaus to bat in a similar way. Both men went past Ponting’s top score at Lord’s. Probably trying to restore pride in Tasmanian cricket.
