Oh PLEASE, you accuse Port supporters of selective reading. You'll grab at anything. Find me another SANFL club with a dedicated Football Operations Manager. That makes it unique.

For that to happen we will have to replace our Board. I believe that our Board are fully supportive of Elliott and Moore.

Very interesting! Neil Rawlings, former Gepps Cross coach and assistant coach to Bamford with a fairly cluey brain in the business world. Could do a lot worse than put him in the job.

“The Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Rawlings as Chief Executive Officer, commencing early August. Neil and his personal capabilities have been very well known to the Board, having been with the Magpies in various coaching roles for 5 years, including as an Assistant League Coach this season. Neil has an extensive business background, having worked in various senior management roles in the past, including recently as a proprietor of a large contracting business. He will provide an excellent blend of modern football knowledge, people management skills and business acumen to the Magpies.
Neil will remain in his current assistant coaching capacity until the end of the 2010 season and also work with Greg Edwards in the office during August for a couple of weeks.
We are very excited at the opportunity for Neil to join the Magpies full time, and we look forward to supporting him as we continue to build on the great foundation we have laid over the past 12 months, on and off field. Neil too is excited at the opportunity and will bring a real typical Port Adelaide passion and hard work ethic to the CEO role”
