Just wondering who from RMFL is playing in the country champs this weekend ?

Most leagues are taking a week off because of this , but not the RMFL.
Will this have an effect on some of the matches this weekend. Ramblers and Meningie for example ?

The Murray South East as well as the other sides are listed here:

http://www.sanfl.com.au/files/_system/F ... 0lists.pdf

With Liam O'Neil and Luke Button listed for Ramblers and no Meningie players listed it could make a difference in the Ramblers/Meningie game, although i think Ramblers will probably still start favourite. With the top 4 clubs so even though, a loss in these circumstances could cost a top 3 position come finals time.

Any aspiring bookmakers out there care to set a field for the flag with six minor round games to go? Mighty Roos have had a couple decent wins recently but really hard to say how much that means. Can't wait to put it to the test against some higher placed opposition.

I find it amusing that 2 months into a season after a couple of loses early, that Imperials find it neccessary to recruit 2 more players just to top themselves up! The week before Fitzgerald & the other guy were signed, they beat us (sadly) in what was a great game of footy, and we are top. I am fairly confident that the Pres made an announcement at the presentation dinner last year something along the lines of:
"Next year we are going to go local, we have a great team, great reserves & Colts & dont see any need to recruit any more players to our club. We will go with what we have"

Dont let the facts get in the way of a good story goldy, Simon Tylor played against Ramblers, Fitzgerald has been talking to Imps for 3 years and was always coming when he decided he wasnt going to make Leauge .Both Kennys went down with long term Injuries as well.
I dont know whos dinner you were at but i was at the dinner and didnt hear what you did.
Why did you feel the need to bring in more recruits this year ?
We have blooded plenty of juniors this year as we do most years.
Id say you dont have much fun if that amuses you.

Noticed on the sportingpulse results Fitzgerald from Imps kicked 21 goals in today's game against Mypo. 20 goal wins to both Imps, and Meningie against Tailem, who at least kicked 10 goals, a better effort effort from them.

Which RMFL club is in talks with the HFL about joining if not in 2011 then definately 2012. Believe HFL very keen as Strath are looking at joining too and would then mean having a 12 team Central division. Would be a great comp.

Given their location, I would imagine it would be Mannum or Mypo. My guess would be Mannum. Not sure the RMFL would like to become a 6 club comp though.

Nah no way it is Mannum. Some crappy rumours about Imps several months ago however I fail to see any andvantage to that club (or any other). I reckon it's an urban myth that bobs up from time to time.
