Maybe..... ;) It's my kinda humour....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

NAB BANK

went into the morphettvale branch on south road today, grabbed the form i needed & there was not 1 bloody pen in the place, so i lined up behind the 10 or 12 people that was in front of me, it got to my turn, i said ''there are no pens out here so you'll have to do it yourself or lend me a pen please'' & the broad behind the counter said ''you've haven't written on this so you'll have to go & write it out'' '' i said i just told you there are no pens to fill the forms out so either give me a pen or do it yourself'' i got told ''here is a pen, go back to the desk & fill it out please'' i said ''i've lined up & waited my turn & i'm not lining up again & waiting another 15-20 minutes"....so anyway despite being asked to fill out the form & go to the back of the line i simply filled it out at the counter & she relunctantly processed it

DUTCHY get onto them, her attitude was ordinary ;)

Obviously the "Barbara" bank of the ANZ advertisements.
ANZ and BankSA always seem to have pens at the branches I attend, and cope nicely if I present a cheque and my bank card and say, "This was in my PO box today, and I don't have a deposit book with me."

Glory hunter management.

High level management that breeze into your organisation and attempt to leave their 'legacy'. This legacy is usually a complete overhaul of business process and/or computing systems and then they bugger off on their next five year contract leaving loyal employees to support dodgy systems or to endure the next major overhaul in business process to be introduced by the next glory hunter.

Stick around and show some ownership.

regards,

REB

johno6, i'm not trying to be funny as about 25 years ago my brother & i (we were very naive back then) went into this puppy, we signed papers, we got told it's breaking in well as it got to 14 months old & would soon be trialling, when trial nights were approaching we'd organise to go & on the day of the trials the dog was either sore, i'll, off its feed etc etc.....the penny dropped with us that there was no bloody dog

ps, i hope it goes well for you though

We were in the queue to pay and when it was our turn, the two women walked right around us and went to the counter! I felt like saying 'Go and drink some more vinegar, you pair of withered haggises' (haggi?) but there were lots of children around, including my own, so I behaved myself.

Probably part of the same groups of people of this genre, for whom an indicator on a car is meant to be kept in pristine condition. One such purveyor of this got within the proverbial hair's breadth of crashing into me on the South Eastern Freeway the other day when they decided they wanted the particular few metres of space on which I was driving. I guess, being the only car within a kilometre or so, I may have been easy to miss.

The mother of my kid... Just because I couldn't throw a massive kiddie party with one day's notice, she's taking our daughter back to Melbourne early, missing my birthday, and saying she aint coming back again.

I'm so sorry to hear that. F*** people can be such arseholes at times. I deal with similar stuff with my eldest son's father - I mean, I've got full custody of my son so I know it isn't the same thing at all, but just the stunts his dad pulls all the time - he never considers Angus, it's all about HIM and his bloody vendetta against me. I'm used to him by now but it killed me the last time he had Angus for a visit because he wouldn't let me talk to Angus for a week and when I finally DID get to talk to Angus he was crying and saying he'd wanted to talk to me but he hadn't been allowed to, and he wanted to come home. MP, you don't have to answer this but do you have a legal agreement regarding the custody of your child? If so, you might be able to get it emended to allow you to see your daughter at certain times like your birthday? That's what I did with Angus' dad - he wanted his visits to be organised around his birthday and every alternate Christmas. In my experience of the courts here they're leaning more and more towards giving dads a fairer deal.
